Great book

Hated the mom. Screw her! It was a good read. I really enjoyed it. The twists and turns were awesome.

Loved It!

I’ve read a few of Chevy Stevens books, and I’ve loved every single one. There is something about the way that she writes that just drags me into her stories. I felt like I could see each character and feel the emotions surrounding them. This book was fabulous. I loved the main characters and plot twists. I found myself rooting, angry, sobbing and smiling. I definitely recommend this book.

Choked up

This was one of the most moving books I've had the pleasure of listening to in a long time. I literally got choked up several times throughout the story hearing the injustice that these poor kids went through. The author made me feel like this has probably happened an untold number of times in Anytown, USA. The narration was top notch also. I could not stop listening! Read this book. Listen to this book. You will not regret it.

Author does it again!

This was a an amazing story and with 700+ audiobooks under my belt I thought the narrator completely fit the character of the book. Yes, she sounds nasally at times but it works. Great suspense, I wish there was a second book.

Stevens has given us a flawed and not always likable heroine with a knack for finding trouble, but Toni is still easy to root for. With unexpected twists and turns THAT NIGHT kept me reading late into the night, hoping for a good outcome, fearing more tragedy.
I rarely give 5 stars, so when I do it means I will reread the story and recommend it overwhelmingly to others. If you haven't yet discovered Chevy Stevens, go directly to your bookstore or amazon, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

loved it never lost its pace . fell in love with the storyline. hope to see more from this author

The book was AWESOME. But I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks the narrator had a cold/had an extremely nasal-y voice. I got over it after about an hour, but I could see how it could be distracting. Narrator really didn't do the book justice.

Chevy does it again - enjoyable read

Chevy Stevens is one of the authors I always turn to for a contemporary mystery read. She didn't disappoint on this one either. Another good story, although a bit predictable, still enjoyable.
