One of my favorites!

One of my favorites in the Clecanian series. It took a while to warm up to Auzed, but the storyline kept me wondering what was going to happen up until the last couple of chapters. Another amazing performance, too!

Love it down!!!

I didn’t have high hopes as Luka and Verrako’s mates were irksome… they complained and whined too much, it was a little hard but Alejandra was fun and a breath of fresh air! I thought this was pretty good! Don’t get me wrong the whole series so far was great! Just those two books together back to back can be tiring! lol overall! Loved it!

Ending seemed rushed

overall really good, but the ending seemed rushed. I just expected either an earlier bond or a little more time once the were back and separated for things to develop. Honestly at this point this family would be under a microscope for all the mate bonding considering only one other person has formed a bond vs the 3 out of the same family. Just surprised that wasn't even a slight note in the story.

It was interesting how the characters flip flopped their beliefs as the book went on.

This one rivals Chosing Theo for me. I loved thisbone so much!!!! There's spice and sweetness and a wonderful plot and character building. I can't even fully put into words how great this book is!!! also, this narrstor- YUUUMMMMY!!!! Seriously this is another in this series that is now my go to favorite read!

Loved!

Ugh this audiobook was like a warm hug! It was so sweet and worked out so well I couldn’t have wanted more for the story. Auzed was simply yummy with his grumpy self while Alex was a ball of sunshine all things considered. The addition of Wilson was just perfection! Absolutely loved this one. On to the next!

Enjoyed this series

Pros:
I enjoy this series for the most part. World building, character development and set up, unique circumstances each book. Overall worth listening to and the narration is good, too. Writing is good and not lazy or super immature like many books in this genre.
Cons:
The only thing that bugs me is the way the passing around of females on this planet is close to ritual grape. Being able to pick which dude does it to you doesn’t make it less of a violation lol. Being expected to move from dude to dude so more guys can “have a shot at happiness” or being ostracized and bullied if you don’t, isn’t an act of sacrifice and service. It’s institutionalized human trafficking. Painting the dudes as lonely and therefore needing the few females to be passed around like a side dish got under my skin. More so because it was never pointed out for what it was and instead it was used to justify stripping some people of agency. Also the “recognizing” although not fully reciprocated by humans was justification for the guys to actually force themselves on their “mate” without anyone stepping in and they were painted as magnanimous for not actually graping their “mate” on first contact. 👀
