Not Her best Work
I love RObyn Carr and have been listening to lots of her novels. This one was not my favorite. The story was underdeveloped, lacked details and the characters were not as matured as her other novels. I did not realize until the end that it was one of her older novels. I would say her writing has matured over time and her more recent novels have ben fantastic.

Lovely story
Very good narration of a good story. The protagonist's self doubt was frustrating but it was inspiring to see Joe's patience and balanced approach to living a Christian life come through alongside her.

LOVED IT!!!!
I wasn't sure how this book was going to be but it was really good!!! I am a Christian and as a Christian you have to have a sense of humor and not gasp every time someone does or says something that you feel is wrong. I thought that a lot of this book was hilarious and laughed out loud at the things and times things were said. I would definitely suggest this book to others!

One of Carr’s best
Carr does a good job of conveying how awful life has been for Beverly since her husband was first injured then died. And she does it with lots of humor and without melodrama or mushiness.
Financial security doesn’t solve grief and loneliness and people trying to fix you up and bad dates and boys who need their father.
Eby was a great choice as narrator.

Best Author & great book
Robyn Carr is one of my favorites or my favorite!
I love the characters in her books & this book is no different. The narrator is wonderful. Easy listen, I really enjoyed this book.
