With the Sea Hags gunning for our island and ruining our questionably successful business, I did what any desperate Mermaid would do. I called for backup.
Of course, getting help from the Otherworld Defense Agency is risky as they don’t usually deal with ocean creatures. Whatever. Desperate times call for crappy measures. Chances are they’ll send freaking Pirates. I hate Pirates….
Well, I hate one Pirate in particular.
Hopefully, it won’t be the one seafaring jackhole I despise more than any other. Pirate Doug would be an idiot to show his face here after what he’d done. Not only did the dumbass abscond with our treasure, the son-of-a-bitch took my heart with him as well.
I’ll tear his sorry ass to shreds if he so much as steps even one hairy toe on my island.

Over the top humor!
Shane East is fabulous as always. The female performer is new to me and she did a great job. Robyn Peterman’s humor is really out there but I did enjoy this bawdy tale with many different paranormal characters. I think I might continue this series just to see what the characters get up to next.

Pirate Doug
Pirate Doug is rude,crude, Foul mouthed, conceited and totally HILARIOUS! Don’t let the Mermaid cover fool you. Definitely not for the youngsters. I have recently discovered Robyn Peterman and she is now one of my favorite authors.

Robyn’s the best
I hope everyone reads or listens to Robyns books as I do. They are the best. Their language is terrible which makes it so funny. Keep on writing Robyn, Your the best.

The innuendos are hilarious
This story... was a fun time that included mermaids, vampire pirates, the Kraken, sea hags and whole bunch of innuendos. I have never heard so many different innuendos for body parts that I can't wait to use them.
I laughed through the whole book and it's one I will come back to when I need something light and fun. For everyone trying to bring it down, it's meant to be a fun and silly read! I loved that about it. It has WTF moments but all of them are funny and great for the storyline. I will absolutely read the other stories from this series. It's fun and I want to see what happens next.
The audiobook version of this makes it even better. Thanks to Shane East and his fan group, the Shaneiaks, I had to listen to it. He is hilarious as Pirate Doug. Amanda Ronconi is a new to me narrator and was great as Tallulah.
