Resumen del Editor

From award-winning thriller writers Brett Battles and Robert Gregory Browne.

After an op in Istanbul goes sour, all Alexandra Poe wants is a little down time, and a chance to finally sell off the family vacation home in Key Largo which carries too many painful memories.

Instead, she finds herself on a private Bahamian island, working with Deuce and Cooper to relieve a human rodent of some very sensitive codes, and to take down one of the world's most notorious terrorists. Just another job for Stonewell International. Or is it?

What Alex doesn't realize is that she's about to get caught up in a twisted maze of shifting allegiances that forces her to face those painful memories head on--even if it's the last thing she ever does...

Very disappointing!

Takedown is the second book in the Alexandra Poe series cowritten by Brett Battles and Robert Gregory Brown. Although it is somewhat better than Poe, Book 1, it is still a major disappointment.

Brett Battles is one of my favorite authors. His (written without a coauthor) thrillers in the Project Eden series and Jonathan Quinn series are among the very best of the mystery/thriller genre. The suspense in the Project Eden series matches or exceeds that of any other novels I have read.

I hate when a book leaves unanswered questions..

Okay, I have no idea when the next book will be out but the ending of this sucked. Not really a cliffhanger but some unanswered questions. A video of her father telling her it's time he answered all her questions and then, "Alexandra Poe will be back." That's it? That's how it ended.

This one was a little more believable than the first book was. Alexandra, Deuce and Cooper had to get some sensitive codes that the bad guy was selling to another bad guy. Which they did but not without Alexandra getting herself shot.

This was better than the first book by far.

No romance and no sex and the F-bomb was used 10 times.

As to the narration: Abby Craden did an excellent job on the voices and read with wonderful emotions.
