Resumen del Editor

A buttoned-up counsellor. A hot ex-con with secrets. One session that changes everything.

It was supposed to be simple: Let Jace Riggs walk into my counseling office, tell me how he’s adjusting to post-prison life, and let him walk out again. But the first thing I've learned is that nothing is simple with Jace.

He’s tall, muscled, bearded, and tatted. He’s smarter than anyone else in the room and 10 times more guarded. He’s hiding things that would break any other man to pieces. He’s a loner, a bad boy, and an infamous Riggs brother from the wrong side of the tracks.

He’s a hundred kinds of wrong for me. And even when I’m not his counselor anymore, I still want to break down his defenses.

Jace has never trusted anyone - until me. He says I’m the only woman he wants close to him. The only woman he’s wanted in his bed - ever. And when he looks at me with that look of white-hot fire, I believe everything he says.

My own secrets could get Jace sent back to prison - or get him killed. And he doesn’t care.

We had so little time. We might not have until morning. But with the fire ignited between Jace and me, forever wouldn’t be long enough....

Not all bad boys are truly bad

Loved Jace and Tara’s story. I was totally shocked by the bomb that Jace dropped but it made me love him that much more. I disliked Kyle from jump street and wasn’t surprised one bit by what he did. The story flowed so smoothly and had me on my toes. So excited for Ryan’s story. Can’t wait for the audio. Erin Mallon and Joe Arden we’re perfect narrators.

Really good!

I really liked Jace's story. It was fast paced and full of action, I wish the conclusion was a little more drawn out but I am still happy with it. I cant wait for the next brothers story! Fantastic narration!

This series just keeps getting better...

I thought I really liked Luke Riggs, but then I listened to Jace's book and now I think I'm going to end up loving them all.

I loved so much about this book. I loved that while this book features a guy who is attending counseling after getting out of jail, and shares a mutual attraction to his counselor, it's done in a tasteful way. I loved that the leading lady Tara was smart and accomplished, she was also compassionate and kind. She saw through the defense Jace put up, and she appreciated him for who he really was.

I loved that the Riggs brothers are showing new sides of themselves and growing their relationship. It helped me connect more with all of them.

The two narrators for this story were amazing. Both of them had me fully emersed in the story they were telling because their performance was so good. I definitely want more by both of them in future. And I want more of this series.

I love Jace!

Jace and Tara met in an unconventional way. But wasn't Jace's whole life unconventional? I really liked him! And Tara saw through him as well. He's kind, quiet and caring. She wondered just how it was he got himself arrested. There were times my heart hurt for him and what he went through. From the outside, Tara and Jace didn't match, but it's the inside that counts and these two fit each other! I enjoyed their story and the chemistry between them. I liked that Tara saw much more than what others gave him credit for. I want more Riggs brothers!

Strong and Silent Type Are My Kryptonite 😍

Audiobook review. There’s something about the strong and silent type that just does it for me. Especially the intellectuals that defy the stereotypes. Jace was that and more. He had this air about him that begged for a woman like Tara to try to figure him out. I liked Tara too. She was this buttoned up professional that got flustered by her patient when nobody had ever shaken her up before.

The plot was interesting, especially as it continues an overarching dilemma that seems to be interconnecting the different books in the series. I liked the contrast when experiencing Jace as a hero versus how he appeared in book one.

I found one inconsistency in the plot between book one and two but it wasn’t on something big so I moved on pretty quickly. Overall a solid read.

Erin Mallon and Joe Arden brought these characters to life and did them justice. They are a great combo who, like always, brought their A game.

Perfect continuation of the Riggs Brothers series!

The first book in the Riggs Brothers novels felt like a pretty standard (but enjoyable) bad boy romance novel. I really liked Jace’s character DRIVE ME WILD and was very much looking forward to seeing how his character developed in his own story. Julie Kriss did not disappoint! I found this installment in this series to be fun, engaging but also suspenseful. The overarching story that started in Luke’s book continues and the stakes are higher than ever!

Jace is recently released from prison and is attending mandatory counseling. The attraction between him and Tara (his counselor!) heats up quickly. I enjoyed the chemistry between these two and for such a short book, it packs quite a punch. This book is both sweet and sexy and gave me everything I was looking for in Jace's story. Although this is part of a series, you can definitely read TAKE ME DOWN on it's own. I'm looking forward to reading the last two books.

A great continuation of the series!

This is the second book of the Riggs Brothers series and I enjoyed it even more than the first. Jace is the ex-con of the family and Tara is the counselor assigned to him for his probation. So, we have sort of a forbidden love vibe going on. As was the case with Luke (brother in book one,) we are finding that there is way more to this family than what is on the surface. Great story and great narration! I look forward to more of this series.

Irresistible!

I am really falling for these misunderstood Riggs brothers. Even tho they had a harsh upbringing, these brothers are loyal, loving, and protective of each other. Jace is the youngest brother who is quiet, thoughtful and intelligent. He was the last brother anyone would expect to go to prison. But he did, and is out now, living and working with Luke at the shop. He must see a counselor as part of his parole, and that is Tara. They didn't start off very well, mostly because they had an instant and fiery attraction. Tara tries her hardest to get the quiet Jace to open up. The harder she tried the more frustrating he was. But Tara realized he was more than what his file said, or didn't say. Suddenly Jace was released from her counseling, but Tara was determined to figure out his secrets. They started acting on the attraction they felt from the start and they were so sweet together. But Tara has secrets of her own, add that to the fallout from his father's dealings, and they could be over, or worse, before they even really start. There were several plot twists that made this story exciting and irresistible. Joe Arden, and Erin Mallon once again narrate this moving, fun, and passionate story. They delivered the characterizations, suspense, and passion so flawlessly, making me see both Jace and Tara so clearly in my mind, that I was easily lost in the story.
I am becoming so invested in this family and am excited to find out more about the rest of the Riggs Brothers!

Loving this series!!

This book is another hit for this author. I though Luke was going to be my favorite Riggs brother but Jace quickly took his spot. He was the sweet, smart brother and I was instantly hooked on him, and super protective...So I was worried about how Tara would be and let me tell you, I couldn’t have handpicked a better woman for him! Both of these characters were strong yet vulnerable and just wanted to be loved.

This story is wildly intense and packed full of the feels. The danger and double crossing adds an element that will have you hanging on every word. I definitely recommend this book and the it can be read as a standalone however book one was great so you May as well go all in!
