Really fun book

I've enjoyed this series quite a bit. I found some of the writing lackluster, but the story itself and the narration were so engaging that I had a hard time setting the book down (or my headphones, really). As far as my complaints, some of the "twists" were very predictable (though I didn't see the origin of one of the villains coming!) and some of the decisions characters made were just baffling and dumb or made no sense. However, the overall story was entertaining and exciting, the pacing kept things going, and the narrators were great! There was one part where the performed voices for Hugh and Simon were starting to sound too similar and I was getting confused who was supposed to be talking.

I hope there's a spin-off or sequel series, I really do, but I look forward to whatever else Marissa Meyer has planned.

BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES

First off, the narrators did an amazing job in all 3 books.

This conclusion was a non stop roller coaster and I loved all of it. I laughed, cried, gasped and finished it all in 1 day. It left me breathless, THAT EPILOGUE!!!! I need to reread this series. Highly recommend listening to the audio.

In it for supporting characters

I love so many things about Marissa Meyer's pieces but I hate the whiny, gullible main characters. I could live without the drama. The supporting characters are amazing the abilities that she grants them make you crave more. I am hoping she does a spin off series for the spoilers little sister.

Worth it

Had a hard time staying engaged at first, but it picked up and finished strong.

Great Conclusion to a Great Trilogy...

I really enjoyed this book, every time I picked up the next book after waiting for it to come out, I’d always forget how much the female narrator’s voice kinda bugs me. But I would eventually get used to it... interesting story. Great twists! I can usually tend to predict the outcome of some conflicts in many YA books like these, but Meyer kept me on the edge of my seat - excitedly urging the next chapter to arrive! Would definitely recommend this series to anybody who is a fan of superheroes, villains, and everything in between.

Again, too much minutiae

The fat really needed to be trimmed in this one. Again. Meyer has her characters talk around and around and around and then they get to the point. When you feel a scene is dragging on (it happens a lot) don’t be afraid to skip ahead a couple of minutes. You likely won’t have missed anything.

Which is quite disappointing. I think this is otherwise a very good book. The author just needed to stop padding the scenes with unnecessary words.

As always, the narrators are very good. They both make the characters come alive.

Finished Strong

This was fast paced. I couldn’t put it down. A lot of fun surprises. Definitely better than the second entry for sure. McMuffins galore. But it comes with the genre.

The writer is very good at writing in unexpected twist in the story. enjoyed the ending and wanted the next book to start right after. I hope she can keep making this story original and not dull, predictable or boring. great job !

This series is so freaking good!! I'm jealous of everyone that gets to read it for the first time. This book had so many jaw dropping moments!!
