A real, relatable read

Short, sweet, and wonderful. A very adorable story that isn't afraid to live in the real world, nor give you the happiest possible ending. The narration was perfect and kept me in it the whole time. It's a book that'll stay with me a good long while in the best way.

A story any guy can relate to

This is a story that any gay guy can relate to on many different levels. it's great to hear a story which brings back such deep warm feelings. You never want the story to end and it easily could become a series.

The narrator was perfect for the role. My only complaint was the lack of changing voices between characters. That's no reason to write this story off. It is well worth your time.

Yes, it is a quick and sweet story. It borders on young adult to new adult.

I loved Jordan and Owen, both!

What does Tristan Wright bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice was perfect for the age of the guys.

This is my first book narrated by Tristan Wright. He was great, except it his voice did not waver at all between characters. His switch in POV was difficult at times. He would state Owen or Jordan's name, and if you were not listening closely, you could miss it. He was seamless in his transition which made it difficult to figure out if he was still reading or switching between characters. His voice was perfect for this age group and I would give him a "try" again.

Completely Adorable!

Totally adorable. And the narrator, Tristan Wright, was perfect for this one. I would have loved the story to continue and include their first few years at college - esp after the epilogue got me all curious - but it was very, very enjoyable.

Not really because im not out yet but it IS a good book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Jordi because of his personality. I could really identify with him because I know how easy it is to fall for your straight best friend and i know how much it hurts to not be loved back.

Have you listened to any of Tristan Wright’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first audio book so i haven't listen to any of Tristan Wright's narrations but i liked this one, he did a really good job.

Who was the most memorable character of Superhero and why?

I really liked all characters but the most memorable one was definitely Owen, even tho my favorite character was Jordan, he always knew he was gay, Owen didnt and seeing(well hearing) Owen's way of comming out to himself and subsequently his parents was very interesting.

I am actually in the position Jordan is when he decided to leave Owen behind in order to get over him so...Extra points XD

Good story, but need editing

The story was short but captivating and sweet. The production is lacking however. Sometimes the same line is read twice.

ok, so I'm still pretty teary eyed writing my review. I will keep it simple. There were times it felt like my heart was broken. And times so sweet it was ridiculous. Basically, it touched me deeply. can't ask for more from a book.

Great GFY/OFY - funny!

Owen and Jordy have been friends since forever. Jordy is the arty, small boy to Owen’s large, jock, wrestling counterpart. When Jordy comes out Owen protects him and together they make a comic about a superhero who looks suspiciously like Owen with a counterpart who is suspiciously like Jordy.

Once, in a swimming pool, things between Jordy and Owen crossed the line – but Owen wasn’t ready for something like that, so it gets “tabled”. They remain friends, and in fact the three of them (Jordy, Owen and Emily – Owen’s long standing girl friend) remain tight throughout high school.
Eventually these guys face graduation and moving on to college. It’s at this crossroads that Owen must decide where his loyalties lie. Emily has decided on Smith – no wrestling there!- and her own career path. Owen had thought Jordy and he would be together forever, but when Jordy chooses something different, Owen has to come to grips with the fact that he can do without a lot of things – Jordy isn’t one of them.

You know I’m a huge Eli Easton fan, so this was right up there in my top titles of favorite books. The best part is that though it is YA, there’s an appropriate amount of hot times, done just like Eli knows how to do ‘em!

The HEA and feels in this book are wonderful, as are the very well developed MCs and secondary characters.

Eli’s writing is always crisp and flowing, smart and engaging. She makes you laugh and say “awwww” every time.

I highly recommend this to any fan of the GFY/friends-to-lovers theme, don’t be dissuaded by the age, it’s just as hot as you’d want it to be!

Tristan Wright is a new narrator to me, but he does an excellent job with the narration. He doesn’t do anything over the top as far as voicing or acting goes, but he’s easy to listen to and does a nice job with the emotions and making the story come to life.

Great YA story

Loved this story. Not as much as Blame It On The Mistletoe but it's a close second. I highly recommend.
