Stephany watches how her estranged mate is struck with arrow after silver-tipped arrow while she is dragged away by one of the enemy. Lance falls to his knees, dying from his wounds just as Stephany is knocked unconscious. After accidentally mating Lance 20 years ago, she has remained celibate ever since. So long that she no longer even craves the touch of another, so long she doesn't even go into heat anymore. Forced to remain at the alphas side, her resolve is sorely tested. Suddenly, she's feeling things she shouldn't be feeling; her own body is betraying her in worst of ways. She needs to stay strong. Especially since Ward is a wolf, and she a vampire...sworn enemies.

Loved it! Story was exciting, passionate.

Most memorial was when Stephanay and Ward met after she was captured and became mates. Birth of their twins was also good.

Great. on point with the actual book. however none of the chapters are right. chapter 23 was called chapter 10. it's like that for the entire book

Still a great smut and and easy way to unwind, but there was more focus on child birth and breading than there was on sex for this one

Wow, Wow, WOW!!!!!!

OMG, This series is So HOT, HOT, HOT!!!!!! Excellent storyline and So we'll written!! I fell in love with the characters and their personalities. The storyline progresses at such a rate that I could not turn the audio off because I had to find out what was going to happen next. This is Definitely one of the top books out of hundreds that I have listened to so far in the romance package from Audible. Book one was the BEST, book two was FANTASTIC and I can't wait to start book 3 😍

I like how these books read as movies- I can imagine the scenes as they take place.

Good Story line

Loved the book! I couldn't stop listening and now I want to hear Becky story. I agree that the first book with the human and two vamp kings was a little too much for me. This book you really got to know the characters.

Solid book for its genre, narration is robotic

It has likeable characters, decent suspense. She has created an established world with consistent rules, each species having a clear culture that is well written. All of this successfully keeps the book from being porn without plot, which I very much appreciated. However, I suggest readers and especially reviewers remember that this is a series meant to be over 50% about sexual tension followed by steamy sex in a loop throughout the book, but with enough plot to make it an actual story. If you are looking for a deep book that will make you truly think and reflect on things of real meaning, I suggest not looking at books that Audible lists under the category of erotica. I enjoyed the book for exactly what it was and thank the author for her time. Reviews about the narration I must say are completely accurate. Weirdly robotic, especially with the female part, almost like they took the original recording and adjusted the speed post-production or something. I was able to ignore it enough to not be annoyed by it, but I imagine this would be difficult for some.

Love all these books in this series. This is my third time listening to them. I just wish more would come out on audible.
