A very cozy story
Not a bad series with some great characters. It sure why the main character chose the boring guy but we will see where it goes. Could be more thrilling endings but the are ok.

Mostly enjoyable and clever
I’ve enjoyed Ember’s harmless snarkiest throughout the series, but thoroughly disliked the harpiness which developed after she chose Alec. It was not attractive in any way. Thankfully, by the end of book 9, Ember’s funny snarkiest returned. I’m not so sure about her relationship with Alec and the encounters with the therapists. However, since I’ve enjoyed the majority of this series and enjoyChase’s writing, I will continue enjoying her work
