Good book

I did enjoy this book and book 1 as well. I look forward to the next in series.

Fun listening

A good listen. Not all battles, not all political stuff. Good surprises. I like it! The narration was fabulous!

The story is good BUT

The book is a decent Read, But too damn wordy , The characters hymn & HA about every decision , much of the book is about should’ve done this or should I do that. The characters can’t make up their mind what decision to make. I’d hate to think military commanders think and vacillate so much about every decisions.

Good story line, but too much thinking

The story was pretty good and certainly had lots of action. I didn’t like all the mental analysis and self doubt about every decision.

Classic space military sci-fi

This is just a classic have fun no fluff space military sci-fi. I rather enjoyed it and look forward to the next.

I like it

I liked it. But there is always room for improvement. Parts I liked were the fighting and when they are having family time

Title should be “Absolute Incompetence”

W/O spoilers this book has some of the absolute worst decision makers on the good guys side I have ever read about in a book.

The narrator is so boring I keep skipping ahead.

I also keep thinking this book was written with heavy dependence upon so called AI (generative text) it is so unlike the authors usual style.

Repetitive writing

I enjoyed the first book of the series and typically enjoy this author's works, however, this book ended my interest in this series. The first half of this book (chapters 1 -20) covers and recovers the same points. It reminded me of when you were in high school and the teacher wanted a ten page paper but you only had enough data to fill a couple of pages. So you would find creative ways to keep restating the same information. This sums up the first twenty chapters of this book. The second half is just one long drawn out space battle that is only slightly less repetitive. Found myself getting frustrated as I listened, won't be purchasing the third book.

Save your money/credits

Filled with social justice crap. It's all about the wahmen! Unbelievable number of women as ship captains, exos and admirals. All the men are morons, cowards or get killed off, so a independent wahmen can replace them and do a better job. Because strong independent wahmen don't need no man! As you can probably tell, the social justice repeatedly took me out of the story. Plus the author doesn't write very interesting space battles. Don't see myself bothering with this series. You shouldn't either.
