Resumen del Editor

The Spirit Paths program is based on a fundamental understanding of the way in which personal work affects change. While the focus and content of the series has evolved since its inception, the intention for individual discovery remains clear: The only thing that you bring to the table in your life is your authentic self. Key questions for participants are:

What do you really want?

Who do you want to be when you die?

Spirit Paths guides you step-by-step through new ways of understanding perception and beliefs. It challenges you to rethink often long-held beliefs that are essentially false, that may be unknown to you, and that keep you stuck in a life not of your choosing. This program shows you a pathway into authentic relationship, family, community - and your role in life.

Shamanic Wisdom Shared

What did you love best about Spirit Paths?

Looking at personal/spiritual growth from a completely new and fresh perspective

What other book might you compare Spirit Paths to and why?

I don't believe I've ever experienced a book like this! It contains scientific information that I've encountered elsewhere with some of the beliefs of indigenous cultures

What about Charles Henderson Norman’s performance did you like?

I enjoy the sound and cadence of the narrator's voice

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and no. While I thoroughly enjoyed the content, it is filled with many suggestions and strategies that even the author suggests taking a six month period to implement

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Very Enlightening!

I'm an energy worker and have heard of shamanic journeys but hadn't understood much about them. This book was very informative.

A Wealth of Wisdom from the Shamic viewpoint

What made the experience of listening to Spirit Paths the most enjoyable?

Gerry covers a lot of ground and obviously has a wealth of wisdom to impart. He covers so many topics, and this makes it an audio to listen to time and again. Each time you will pick up some new and useful information, and gain more understanding of the the self.

Who was your favorite character and why?

This is a self-help audio, so there was no particular character, but I learnt a lot about animal symbolism.

Which character – as performed by Charles Henderson Norman – was your favorite?

Chares Norman is an excellent narrator, with a deep clear voice that I enjoyed listening to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Gerry talked about past lives that I happen to be studying at the moment, which proved interesting and useful.

Any additional comments?

The author clearly has a lifetime of wisdom and is an excellent teacher.

Marred by chapters 37-39, otherwise very good

"I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via AudiobookBlast dot com."

Generally speaking this was an excellent self-development book. Not self help notice but self development. The reader, narrator was a good match and his timing and delivery was superb. A very soothing, trustworthy voice along with (sorry for the pun, Well no I am not and its not quite a pun...) Authentic material.

The author takes the individual reader, listener on a journey of self through Serpent mind, Wolf mind, Buffalo mind, and Eagle mind. I count 4 there but the text refers to "5 minds". It wouldn't be the first time I've misplaced or lost one of my minds....alas I have such bad jokes.

However, this excellent journey was spoiled for me in the Eagle mind section, shortly into Audible Chapter 37. Did the narrator go on an ad lib rant? Did an editor coerce the author to include extraneous material? Did the author somehow lose his own plot? From 36 chapters of inner personal work, suddenly comes a flood of Must, Should and contradictory mumbo jumbo ...

Then along the end of Chapter 39 that line wrapped up and Chapter 40 had me listening again to the book I had been listening to. The transitions were quite abrupt to me though the words all flowed. It was clearly intentional material but a tragedy to have included it.

In my opinion.

Your feelings as a reader may vary and that's the beauty - You are you. But, if you find a sudden "huh...what..." feeling check your progress and if you are in that chapter 37-39 range, just skip on to chapter 40. You won't miss anything.

If the author excised those chapters, I'd amend my review to 5 stars, but with them, its a stretch to give 3 stars from me.

The narrator and narration were 5 solid stars.
