my type of fantasy!

Really enjoyable character's and dynamics. Voice actor is great too. The story and fight scenes were really well done.

HBO’s next hit!

Like Game of Thrones x True Blood! Sexy, political intrigue, sprinkled with Asian flavor. I can’t wait for the sequel!!!

made me fall in love with fantasy

I loved this book from start to finish. I didn’t want to stop listening. Remy is a wonderfully complex male main character. And, of course, being bisexual myself I appreciated the bi representation. I thought it was very well done.

Another great book by Rin

I couldn't put it down. It was steamy, it was edge of your seat emotional, suspenseful, and full of twists. my only complaint was I didn't wait for the next book to be out before I read this one and now I have to wait a year. I hope Rin continues to write more at this level, it was really really good.

Very enjoyable!

As a fan of Castlevania, this book had exactly what left me wanting with the trio. I quite enjoyed the story overall. I was invested in every character over the course of the story. I heard it may be a duology and I'll be looking forward to the next book. hopefully it will be narrated by Matthew Spencer again.

Very long but enjoyable

First time listener to this author and narrator. Liked both and will likely follow this author and voice actor to another story.

The vampire story I’ve always wanted

I cannot believe how quickly I fell in love with the main character and how quickly I grew to love the vampires as well. I am desperate for more. I wish there were four more of these, because I want nothing more than to be a part of this world a little longer. Rin Chupeco’s mastery of plot, of description, of horror and of romance is worthy of every minute and every page. They leave me desperate for more.

Great Story and Great Narration

I did know what to expect when I read the blurb, but the story was better than I expected and the narrator elevated to a different level. If you love Vampire stories with gory and spice, then give this one a shot.

I absolutely love this book! I already want to read it again that’s how I know I really really enjoyed it! I just found out there’s a second book and it comes out April 2 second of this?! so close yet so far! I can’t wait! The story is so well paced and beautiful and well written, and so enjoyable. The characters are smart and well written, and all their decisions make sense and Work in the relationship between the characters is lovely! I really can’t explain it into it justice you just have to experience this book I really really highly suggest you read it. Also, I listened to the audiobook and the narrator is fantastic! He does incredible voices for each character. It made my experience even better.

Narrator was wonderful!

I love the audiobook! The narration brought the story to life! I just wished I started with the audiobook. I’ll definitely continue with the next book on audio.
