Matilda never fails. This series just gets better and better with every book. My only complaint is that Michael Wood can't write fast enough because I am already ready for the next.

I do prefer British detective and mysteries and this again proves why. Michael Wood’s DCI Matilda Darke audiobook #10 continues with his outstanding creative talent that grabbed me from the beginning to end. Stephanie Beattie’s narrative skills shine through. Both are a perfect pairing that I pray continues. DCI Matilda Darke and crew search for a brutal serial killer, leaving me at the edge and keeping me there throughout. Wood interweaves subplots that continue from previous books in this series: I think it is advisable to start with the first book. Though this a dark listen, I do have to say, however, during the hilarious Christmas turkey dinner conversation, I recommend not drinking anything or you may spit it out with laughter. I know I did. Whodunnit? With one hour left, I I had no idea. “Silent Victim” jumps to the top of my favorites in my vast Audible library. I anxiously await #11. Well worth a credit, however I lucked out with paying a mere $11.09. So highly recommended, I can’t see to the top. Epic, I say. EPIC! EPIC! EPIC! A nod to Wood, Beattie and Audible for making this audiction available. I am ecstatic that #11 is forthcoming.

Tired of Wood “killing” Matilda. Change the story line We need to keep her alive and working—pick on someone else
