Life changing

This book is all about finding one's self and is often described as a hippie's paradise, and it truly is. Would definitely read this again.

Beautiful short listen

If you've just discovered or would like to rediscover how beautiful this book is, you won't be disappointed. The translation is excellent as is the narrator's pace and feeling. It's Hesse's most popular for a reason and you shouldn't be disappointed.

Not a journey to nowhere

Phenomenal story. Absolutely fulfilling and satisfying in every way. I recently read a review that classified this book as a Journey to nowhere. And I think that is a shame. You’re allowed to think that, but give it a read first, I have a feeling you will disagree as I do.

Amazing book. A must read for all human beings. When you’re done reading it, read it again and then again.

Well told and captivating

Buddha Pronounced in Eastern Way

Annoying pronounciation of Boodha as Budu. Other than that very good. Includes essay about meaning of story at the end.

Stands the test of time

Rethink how you think. I am relistening to this one because I needed some grounding. Thumbs up, likes, shares. They are all of the ego. Let them go. This classic is a great entry and easy book to help you let go of those things that do not matter.

Hesse’s Best

This is probably has his best novel. I think he captures the spirit of Buddhism as well. The book gives a rationale and development of people who are seeking something higher than themselves. As in his other books, he devotes a lot to character development. However, as in his other books, we don’t always understand the motivation for the character at all. Why is one man holy and the other not. He comes closer to answering the question in this book then in his others.

I've read Siddhartha once, and listened twice. It's deep on many levels.

No favorite scene. The whole book is a joy.
