I really enjoyed learning about Quinta. I have a new found respect for her hussle. I appreciate her quirky, witty, and her smart sense of humor. Her honesty about life's ups and downs was refreshing. So proud of her success and her creative work with Abbott Elementary.

This book was so good. Mrs. Brunson is truly unique and hellllllla funny. This book was so encouraging and a much needed escape.

Insightful and funny

Covers Quinta’s life up to 1st season of Abbot Elementary. A wonderfully self-aware recounting of her childhood and path to “semi-fame.” I can’t wait for a follow up book in 5-10years. My only complaint is not having stories about William Stanford Davis, who plays my fav character, Mr. Johnson.

This listen felt like a really good phone conversation.

I don’t know how to describe the audiobook but to say that, at the end of it, it made me focus on what I want to do in my life, on my childhood, how I was brought up and encouraged to be the very best of who I am.

Love Quinta! First 2023 Read

I loved learning more about Quinta’s life and background, her career trajectory, and the inspiration behind Abbott Elementary. Abbott Elementary has become my favorite show, and something that I look forward to weekly. Quinta is a class act, and I have learned a few new things from this book. I love how she touched on having drive, and having drive in everything that you do in order to be successful and be in the right circles to navigate on the right path on what you were called to do. I also related on the cooking segment, and I loved how humble Quinta is regarding her popularity and how she navigates fame and balancing her personal life and lessons she has learned along the way that can transfer in everyone’s life. I definitely recommend this read.
