Oh, my heart, I needed this book. At first, I was afraid Hale wasn't going to react the way I hoped, but he was beyond amazing. He is everything Elsa could ever need or what. I love that they both have mentors they can go to when they need help.

That was a truly special part of this short. And we get cameos from old friends!

Sigh. I love Lance and Stella together; they make these audios lovely.

very good story line

This story was a really good follow up to Hale and Elsa. Stella Bloom as usual hit it out of the park. Lance Greenfield's narration was, as usual was over the top in the worst way possible. He over acts so much that it's like listening to two different stories when his narration begins. No one speaks like that in real life and it always takes me right out of the story and I start paying attention again when his turn narrating ends. How it gets past the producers and is given the go ahead is beyond me.
Aside from that, it was a very good KA story!

KA is a generous author. I loved this holiday gift to revisit the River Rain family. Can’t wait for the next installment.

Enjoyed this book very much, but I need a list of who’s who. My brain was working overtime trying to piece folk into place. Overall thoroughly enjoyed.

There is so much and it all flows together SO FREAKING WELL!! god this woman is amazing, i cannot handle it. this can’t be the last book with that ending!!😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺

The male narrator almost ruined the audiobook for me.

The male narrator almost ruined the audiobook for me. I cringe whenever I see Lance Greenfield’s name as the only male narrator because his over the top “acting” (narration) is so juvenile it is hard to get past. Thank goodness they paired him with Stella Bloom or this gift from KA would be purgatory. The story was lovely and was on par with the rest of this series which is a pretentious fantasy. KA is one of my favorite authors and I enjoy, on some level, each book she writes.

Good story and love this series

Don't like Lance Greenfield. Overall enjoy the story and this series. Tolerate Lance because I'm not skipping any books in this series.

So many emotions in a small bite!

While this was not nearly enough River Rain, I am so glad to have this little taste to help hold me over till the next book comes out. So much happens and so much is hinted at for the future in this novella, that I am left with plenty to chew on..all in all, a beautiful addition to the series!

A Christmas Gift from my favorite author!

What a surprise! I wasn’t expecting the audible version of this book to be a gift but was so happy it was! I downloaded as soon as I learned about it and started listening as well! Thank you for sharing this family with us at such a special family time of the year. Baby Hale is a wonderful blessing!
