Good story - terrible audio

It was very difficult to listen to the virtual voice. The story was good but I won't be listening to a virtual voice again. Several words were mispronounced and not a lot of emotion.

Book was great, virtual voice… not so much

These books are good enough to invest in real people audio, not virtual. The kid crying in the book sounded like she was cheerleading rather than crying and stuttering.

Did not like the virtual voice

Really enjoyed the story but was not the biggest fan of the virtual voice ... you can definitely tell the difference between real narrators and this.

Not loving the “virtual voice”

I will not be listening to any others in “VV” mode. I just can’t warm up to it. Sound much too fake making it difficult to buy into the characters and story line.

Couldn't Listen

This was my first attempt at virtual audiobook and it was horrendous. At first It was fine, but once the dialogue and anything with feeling begins it falls terrible flat with no inflection or emotion. I couldn't continue.

The ai narration is terrible and all but ruins an only passable story.

The story line was quite weak but passable. It was made worse by the terrible ai narration. There was a little of the cultural complaining that is common these days and it only weakens an already just passable story line. Mystery writers would be better served to save their personal social complaints for their social media and focus on character development and story depth in their books.

I’m not likely to try any more of this author’s books. I definitely will not listen to any more ai narrated books.
