I appreciate the relationships

I really enjoy the characters, their relationships and struggles in the Shadow Knight series. I appreciate the emotions journeys and the characters that travel through doubts, anger and other trouble to make it to redemption.

Great start to the shadow knights trilogy with your favorites returning

Loved the mood, the pacing, and the characters of this story. What a fun read. Pick it up and you’ll want to continue to the next part!

A worthy sequel

if you enjoyed the original shadow knights saga you'll enjoy continuing to follow their adventures. I must admit I waited a bit longer than I probably should have because more often then not the sequel books fail to capture the feel and magic of the originals. I can happily say that the continuation of the story grabbed me in the way the first books did. It was great to read again about our main characters now a bit older and have some new faces and plot intrigues introduced. As always Tim Campbell does an amazing job narrative the characters and bringing them to life in their own way.

Inconsistent character traits

The idea is great, the story is good. My problem was the inconsistency with the characters. One chapter has them getting beat up by 2 random guys then they take on and win against 100 elite soldiers. It was also quite frustrating because their powers literally never worked for them. Just couldn’t get into it, found myself pausing it so I could yell about how dumb it is.
