Resumen del Editor

Ann can't tolerate the new guy assigned to her camera crew. She's been in journalism long enough to know when someone is full of himself. And this guy is so full of himself, he can't seem to point the camera in the right direction. Her latest assignment in Brazil seemed harmless enough. But now she's in over her head, and the only way out is to trust the man who helped put her in the line of fire to begin with.

Ethan is ex-special forces with a stellar record and long resume of top-secret missions. Leaving the military was a tough decision, but working for himself provides the freedom he loves. Taking the occasional high-profile security job helps pay the bills and keeps his need for excitement at bay. When he takes an undercover job for an old client, his years of training and experience are put to the test. However, babysitting the senator's daughter proves to be a challenge he can hardly resist.

Just okay..

This should have been a good murder mystery but the author couldn’t stay away from the sex long enough to make it a good read. I mean, the day after they started running for their lives, and while Ann still blamed herself for getting her two other employees killed, she didn’t hesitate to jump in the lake/river/pond/whatever to have sex with Ethan. I don’t know, that seemed pretty cold blooded to me.

Some authors think they can’t write a book without it being full of sex. You can write both, ya’ know.

It was a good book as far as the bad guys looking for Ethan and Ann while they ran through the forest and fighting the rushing waters and jumping off of cliffs BUT then I have to stop and skip pages to get out of the sex and back to the story.

I did read book 6, Secret Sauce, a while back but only gave it 3 stars so I thought I’d try another one to see if it was better but it really wasn’t so I guess I’m done with this author. Until she learns to write a mystery without so much sex, maybe I'll just stick with Mary Burton.

So, too much sex and no F-bombs.

As to the narration: I do prefer male narrators but Charles Lawrence needs help with the female voices. Although, it's much better to have a heroine with a deeper voice than a hero who sounds like a girl because they think a female narrator is a better choice.
