This is the second book in the Promised In Blood series. This book is crazy. Just when I thought I knew what was happening, it changed. Lorenzo is the craziest and I’m here for it. That last bonus scene was 🥵! Maeve York and Walker Williams has done an excellent job narrating this book.

Loved this!

This series is definitely becoming one of my faves! The characters, the action and everything else is so good. I literally can’t get enough!

Can’t wait to read the last one! Definitely recommend!

2nd comes war!!!

WHAT!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST HEARD. That end was crazy. ahhh I need book 3 like yesterday. GUYS this book is so freaking good. omg I can't believe it. Idk what to say. but you guys have to get it.

Great continuation!

Second Comes War is book 2 in a great series! Maeve and Walker have once again done an amazing job bringing Chiara, Salvatore, Cassius, Vinicius, and Lorenzo's story to life! There were some voices that I wish would've been a bit better when they were doing the other genders' voices, but other than that, I really enjoyed it! I can't wait to listen to book 3!

Excellent book 2, need book 3

“Welcome to the party, princess. Buckle the F— up.”

This installment is laid out a little differently than book 1. It picks up pretty much where book 1 left off, and there’s a lot of time spent on romance and steam so we can get to know the men better. There is mystery throughout, but it’s not a true mystery. As in, it is to the characters, but to the reader it’s extremely predictable.

Still, it’s a fun ride. Packed with action, drama, danger, blood, captivity, betrayal … ends on a wicked cliffhanger.

Recommended read.

4 stars overall.


The audio is perfection, dual narrator, though it sounds like full-cast thanks to the accents, etc.
Well done. A 5-star production.

This is the third book I've read/ listened to by Lilith Vincent, The second in this series. Ihave the same reactionafter listeningto this audio... whoa. Her audiobooks are complicated and difficult listens.

In this audiobook, Chiara stands strong. She is adjusting and surviving in a cruel world. She's perfect for these guys. We get to know more of the back story for Salvatore, Cassius, Lorenzo, and Vinicius. It's devastating. We get another brutal cliffhanger that has me on edge! I cannot wait for the next audiobook!

Walker Williams and Maeve York are excellent narrators. They have brought this book to life with emotional performances that roll like a movie in my head. It's perfection.

I am really loving this series. War was jam packed with action, spice and everything nice, it was quite the ride and I'm so excited for more. The audio was good too, I'm still not loving Maeve's male voices, especially Cassius, but I enjoyed Walker's voices and the audio overall.

The spice ramp up in this one was fantastic. I loved the group scenes and we even get a bonus MM chapter at the end that was to unalive for. Chiara learning to really be herself was really great too, she was so timid in the first one, but in this one she was here for it all and loved it. I felt like her relationship with Lorenzo went a touch warp speed, but overall I was here for it. He's probably my favorite guy of hers and I couldn't get enough of his kisses.

I'm so excited for the book three audio and getting to see how this series wraps up. The cliffhanger was really wild and has be hanging by a thread, so hopefully it's soon or I may have to grab the kindle version first.

Chiara and her men are hot Steamy sexy together. They all adore her in their own ways.
A serial killer, a bounty on their heads, mystery abounds.Wow!This is mind blowing cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Walker Williams and Maeve York performance is perfection. The accents, voices and personalities are spot on. Very well done

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS: Somewhat Single, white, Female accepting applications for 4 psycho boyfriend, best friends who have a lot of money, power, are smart, and run their cities. Who does what it takes. Yet are so damaged that they all 4 are needed to make the "perfect" relationship. All must be great looking, tattoos a plus (Lorenzo is totally my fav!). Must have a crew that would never disobey. Weapons, safe houses, and designer clothing is all a must. The ability to put out a 10 Million bounty. Willing to share with each other is a must, but ONLY each other. Must be so close they are willing to kill for each other or because it is necessary. Communication is necessary, even if your not thrilled about it. A group chat will be needed. I will be completely yours, mostly submissive, and I will kill for all 4 of you. Must have never seen a pink heart emoji sent to you before. (lol, I laughed and replayed that part 3xs). I don't mind if there is a serial killer killing people that you love, innocent people. I will stand by your side regardless. There will be no sending me to Italy or Siberia, zip ties or not. Having sex with a gun to my head sounds like the best way to loose my virginity! (darn) Practically all dark taboos are perfectly fine. We all will love and take care of each other in different ways. It will be like a little dark family who love each other and have tons of sex and an extremally exciting life. Also, if you can convince my husband that this is a good idea, it's definitely a plus. If not, killing him would work.

But really, I am definitely jealous of the excitement. The gruesome murders I could prob do without. Regular murder though.... lol Kidding, sorta.

Book 2 was fantastic! Do yourself a favor and just buy book 1,2, & 3 at once. Your going to want to read them one after the other. So much edge of your seat suspense. Crazy hot sex with crazy hot & crazy men. Book 2 was a little more hardcore than what I remember from book one. So if you were on the edged with not being able to handle book one, I don't suggest book two. I suggest a visit to a therapist because you are missing a fantastic book over issues you probably should have handled years ago. There are definitely not what you wanna listen to on full blast with grandma or dad in the room. You just may give them a heart attack! But it would be worth it because these books are so good! I literally laughed out loud multiple times in this book. I was so into it, I was trying to explain the plot to the husband. All he came away with is that I am sicker in the head than he thought and he really wishes I wouldn't listen to books like this. (Blah, Blah, Blah). And I told him we needed 3 more men to add to our marriage lol. Needless to say, he wasn't happy. Another Italian.

The narrators did a great job. There was a little Italian and a lot of accents and they both pulled them off beautifully! I really can't wait to see what happens in book three. There was killer cliffhanger but that is expected with a series/trilogy.

On to book three! I can't wait to see what happens! I love this author. I love this series, and the narrators. I highly recommend, as long as adult issues don't bother you. The bonus chapter was great too!
