A Brief, Dark, Love Story

I love short stories, the ability to fit them into a single listen is a big win and this half-hour long tale was easy to digest, indeed. If you had to free your love from a demon, what would you do? Well, I have no clue what I'd try. Listen to this and you'll have an inkling as to what might be done. I am not going to spoil the ending. This is well-narrated and superbly written. Enjoy it. Goosebumps

Scary Love is a short story of a love lost and a demon bound on capitalizing on the grieving pain of the one left behind. The story is interesting and creepy! The narrator did a nice job. I have to say, the demon voice made me sit up a little straighter and be thankful I had someone else in the room with me (it was near midnight when I started listening to this book).

Short but well worth it. Had a good narrator. Five stars. Interesting, suspenseful ghost tales.

To have loved and lost

As the title of the book implies this is a love story with a spooky twist. Also there is only one story even though it mentions collection. For such a short book it definitely packs a lot of story in to it, but for me there wasn't enough love or scare to affect me one way or the other. It was a beautiful story, just wasn't a moving as I think it should have been. I did enjoy the premise of the story and think that if perhaps it were a little bit longer it could have developed to a really good love or scary story as opposed to just a middle of the road scary love one. Hopefully this isn't a testament to me being a curmudgeon.

The emotional connection I felt to the main character was largely due to the emotion that Billow was able to convey in her narration. I felt the love in her tone more so then I did from the writing. She really did a great job and I hope to hear more from her, especially after hearing her demon voice.

A short story about love and loss.

This was a short story about a woman who lost the love of her life. Their love remained even after he died and was trapped by a demon.... But how can a mortal like her save him? Listen and find out! I loved the story and only wished there was more. Scarlet's voice seemed to show the deep depression and loss of the main character, while Michael's wonderful writting brought a magnificent love and loss to life. Worth every penny.
