Sweet, fun story

I really like this series -- don't worry it can be read/listened to individually. The reader is fine, if a bit breathy and not always consistent with the voice chosen for the characters.

So don't be turned off by the narrator.

As I am sure the author intended, some of the supporting characters are just not likeable. The heroine grows on one, as does the hero.

Truly, it's well worth the credit, especially if you're a Tessa Dare fan..

Good story!

I liked three changes Cleo and Rafe individually went through in this story. Actually, Cleo and Rafe both had very low self -esteem because of s similar ways their family's had treated them. She was constantly told by her mother and other family members that she was too fat, and he was told by his father that he was no good, and constantly unfavorably compared to his brother, too! I was amazed with the patience Cleo displayed with Rafe! And when his older brother finally comes home after 8 years with no word to anyone, I can't see how he would expect his fiancé (Cleo) would be waiting for him ( which she wasn't). But both Cleo and Rafe had each gained enough courage to be able to face the brother and tell him that he was to late. I liked the surprise ending to of Cleo getting E as fe a bulldog puppy, rather than being pregnant - which is the predictable ending!

Read WAY too slowly

The slow pace completely ruined the book. i kept falling asleep. seriously, like a funeral dirge minus the melody.

A Delightful Romance

This was a very fun read. The characters are well-developed and the story moved along nicely. I enjoyed each character’s quirks, and the author made me empathize with their challenges.

Two brothers, one perfect and the other a black sheep. Throw in a lady who’s been waiting for her marriage to take place for 8 years, but has now inherited a castle and has learned to stand on her own - and you’ve got the makings of a good story.
Riot ensues at every turn and at times I found myself laughing out loud. Buried beneath it all are lessons we all need to learn.

I recommend this book and the series. The writing is first-rate.

True love and friendship through the years

Loved the acceptance of personalities and idiosyncrasies between the characters for a happy ending. Love conquers all.

This was a real Tessa Dare! It was funny, romantic, and enjoyable! Good spice level too! Definitely worth the listen!

The story was lovely. The narration perfect. It was a great way to spend Valentines Day. You won't be disappointed with this one.

My favorite Tessa Dare

This is my favorite by far, and I’ve read many!Something about the history of their story that truly makes you feel their love. Including the independence, playfulness and quirky characters it had everything I look for in a novel like this.
