AI Narration Ruined the Listen

Nice story. Listened to the first two books in the series with a great human narrator. The AI voice was monotone and frequently lost my attention. I will never start another series until I check that every book is recorded with a human narrator. It really ruined the experience. Mispronunciations galore and heteronyms were a problem too: I.e. “dingy.”

As always, no disappointment with this. Sorry it’s the last one in this series?

I did not like the AI narrative, It detracted from the story. Just not enough “emotion” in the “voice”

I'm really enjoying this story great book that I really don't like the virtual voice there's things lost and they pronunciation of certain words and there's no emotion

Good story, bad virtual voice

This is the fourth book in the dark water series. The story line is good and the first two books were read by Andrew Tell. He did a great job! This virtual voice has no inflection, would pause at weird parts and was very hard to listen to as it was very monotone. I wish they would just stick with Andrew Tell!

Detailed story

I enjoyed the details described in the story. I wished that the series told you that there was more to come and the list of books in the series. I didn’t like the voice. It lacked the dynamics of a lot of different characters and it the volume was inconsistent. Regardless loking forward to the next book.

The computer generated voice is disturbing. Go back to real people reading. Worth the time.

UGH!!!

Mispronounced words, incorrect emotion expression, flat almost monotone voice! It just sucks!!! I love this author but it's a mistake to listen to this audiobook! Spoils the story. Last book too! It sounds like my "assistive reader" Kindle Fire used to have before they thought they would make lots of money on virtual voice and took the software back and left us with a blocky metal sounding robot voice....
I'm sorry Bruno Miller. You are my favorite author in this genre but Dude! This is a mistake!

Virtual voice is repulsive there’s no storyline and it was one of the worst books you’ve ever written

If you continue to use that Essence virtual voice, I promise on my life that I will never read any of your books again

Listened only because it was free

This was a struggle to finish. The depth of the main character's insecurity was outdone only by the constant repetition of said insecurities. The book was 3 times longer than the actual story with all the unnecessary repetition.

The AI narration was awful. A computer simply cannot read with any emotion or inflection to make a story real. It should not be used for audio books.
