Resumen del Editor

After small-time mobster Joe D'Amato gets attacked by a werewolf, his life takes a dark turn, and he begins a transformation towards a new, twisted life.

As corpses start piling up, two cops suspect there is something unnatural on the loose, and they have a suspect. When nobody listens to their theories, they go rogue and start digging for clues.

Soon, forces both natural and supernatural clash, and all hell breaks loose.

Praise:

“Goodfellas meets The Wolfman. Unlike anything else, chock full of action, blood, and biting wit...pun intended.” (Chris Miller, author, The Hard Goodbye)

“Gangsters and werewolves! What's not to like” (Darin Scott, screenwriter/director, Deep Blue Sea 2)

“Fangs and claws, bullets and bodies. Savage Brooklyn is a full-blooded, hard-hitting horror/crime mash-up!” (Paul D. Brazill, author, Roman Dalton, Werewolf P.I.)

Good Story, GREAT narrative

The story was good and kept me entertained. If I was just reading it, I would finish it but not with a great enthusiasm just the pleasant feeling of being entertained. What really pulled me into the story was the narrater. The facility in which he switched from one character to the next was excellent. I felt the distinct difference between each character, specifically Joe (main character) and Sonny. The writers material was good, but the narrater made it excellent because he infused the personality and color of each individual into story. I would enjoy if the writer put forth a sequel if:
1) developed the idea of learning to control the behavior
2) expand on the potential for a pack mentality
3) the same narrater was used to express the multiple personalities that could be developed with the above ideas.
I would describe more with the above, but I would then be giving away ideas of the current book. I would not want that done to me if I was going to read/listen to a book.
I would recommend listening to this book for a good story and creative narrater.

Lots of fun!

Got this on a lark, since I like werewolf stories. It’s actually really GOOD. I expected it to be silly, but it’s not, just really funny and entertaining. Andy Rausch is an excellent writer, and obviously inspired by Quentin Tarantino.

The narration by Art Brown is excellent, he makes Joe D’Amato come to life in all his pathetic a-holery,. He reads it straight, no tongue-in-cheek or wink-wink, which makes it even funnier. His voice characterizations, along with his Brooklyn accent makes it all.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, and recommend it.

Creepy and funny

Made the Wise Guys look like simpletons. Very creepy and out of this world book. I was hoping that at least one of the two detectives ended up being just victims should have at least killed one of the beast for their troubles.

It was a,struggle to get through

The characters are not that intelligent. The wise guys, the police everyone. This bleed into the story. This is supposed to be scary and failed miserably. If I spent a credit on this I'd be passed.
