SEAL's Sky is book four in the exciting Black Eagle series and features John "Tex" Keegan from Susan Stoker's SEALs of Protection series.
Navy SEAL Drew “Murph” Murphy was determined to stay single and win the bet with his SEAL team. Until he met Sky. Her damaged heart and undeniable strength ignited his need to protect. But it would take all of his determination and abilities to keep her safe from the evil hunting her down.
Jennifer “Sky” Turner, on the run from an abusive ex, seeks refuge in the one place she’s always been safe. Forced to assume an alias to escape his powerful influence, Jen finds it hard to trust anyone, until she meets the handsome SEAL. His care and determination to keep her safe may be the one thing able to heal her.
With nowhere else to turn, and her life on the line, she’ll have to trust Murph and the Black Eagle team to protect her.

I did not care for the performance. Sorry
This narrator reads like she is giving dictation -very robotic. Not a lot of moxie.
Also, she reads very fast, which makes me feel like she’s just reading from a script. She does not seem to be into the characters, which does not allow me as the listener to get into the characters.
Although I did like the way that Murphy was trying to help her - I also thought it was a bit creepy the way he pursued her at the bar the first night.
It was almost as if he was following her around the bar, watching where she went when in reality, she could’ve just been a friend of the owners or a cousin.
The moment Sky and her mother were speaking privately in the back room, I thought it was completely ridiculous how Murph charged in! Zoinks! Anybody else would have thrown him out or called the cops! Get real!
It was very immature how Murphs buddies had to “track” him all the way through the bar to the back room for some grand entrance!!
It was as if they were on a secret mission and Iran. Lol! When is reality they were at their normal watering hole…which was a dive bar/restaurant having a burger, beer & nachos not taking down terrorist!
Again, this complete series is extremely adolescent! Perhaps this series would appeal more to a person 18 to 25.
I really wanted to like this series more, but the way the author writes and the actions of the characters don’t appeal to me.
