Good Sci-fi romance!

I enjoyed this audiobook about a woman kidnapped from Earth and dumped on a hostile alien planet to fend for herself. While foraging for food in an empty building she meets an alien man ho is instantly struck by the knowledge she’s his fated mate. She’s not so sure and escapes him only to be saved by him from death. She agrees to leave the planet with him, after he finishes his mercenary mission to collect information. They spend time together and grow close and she finally realizes he is her fated mate, only to have him taken by some angry guys from the planet they left. Narration was well done.

Kept me in suspense as for what was going to happened. The storyteller made the story come alive.

fantastic story! loved the twist about ruwen's heritage and planet! a great book to either read it listen to.

Enjoyable

Lis is dumped on a planet to fend for herself and meets Ruwen who has taken a very dangerous job thinking he will be dead in a few months anyway from the Detyen curse. He is un-mated and 29 when he reaches his 30th birthday still alone he will die, I love the fated mated aspect of this book how a Detyen can only mate with one women in the universe. With women of their race very few after the destruction of their plant Ruwen has lost hope then he meets Lis and everything changes. I felt the narration was good and even though its a shorter audio book I definitely enjoyed listening to it. I revived an ARC for an honest review

Alien’s True Mate

Lis is kidnapped from Earth and dumped on a strange planet with a note saying, Sorry, wrong woman. Ruwen snuck on the planet to steal information while under contract. He sees Lis and knows she is his one and only destined mate who can save him from an early death programmed into his Detyan genetics.
Nothing super-original, right? But very nicely done: solid characters who are likable, and a reasonable timeline where they get to know each other. You really like that Ruwen doesn’t pressure Lis even though his life is on the line.
Michael does a decent job of narration.

What's a girl to do...

What is a girl going to do when she's a victim of mistaken identity and abandoned? Survive until she finds Ruwan (Ru). This story had Lis thrown from alien to alien situations. Lis only had survival in mind but Ru had a whole lot more on his. I enjoyed that the story didn't just end with Lis and Ru flying off and being all mated. After they are stuck together, we still get a story that has action, fire fights, evading everyone and has a happy ending. Zachary Michael was a new narrator for me. He was easy to listen to, smoothly told the story and represented the character voices well.

Great story. Love the characters. Full of action, humor, sexiness and romance. I wish it had been much longer though. I look forward to reading the rest of the series!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. If they are looking for something different and that takes you to an imaginary world with a little kick of romance thrown in then they will love this one.

What other book might you compare Ruwen: Mated to the Alien to and why?

I don't like to compare books because it's not fair to either author. I will say that Mr. Michael was perfect for this book. He brings Ruwen to life and make him sound so sexy. I'm ready to pack my bags. Where do I wait for pick up?

Which character – as performed by Zachary Michael – was your favorite?

When you are critiquing a male narrator, I think it would be very rare where you would pick a female character as your favorite. He has the perfect voice for the character of Ruwen. Makes you want to meet this character in person.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I think that moment was when Lis comes to realize that Ruwen may be different but that doesn't stop the heart from wanting what it wants.

Any additional comments?

I found this a great introduction into the work by Ms. Rudolf and Ms. Huntress. I can't wait to see what they have in store for me next. I look forward to listening to more of their work should it become available and in the meantime I'll just have to read their work instead. This was also a great way to come across a new narrator and I certainly can't wait to see what Mr. Michael is going to read to me next. This is a short listen so that was my one disappointment but that just means that I'll have to listen to it again.

Not for me

Just couldn’t get into it. To slow and seemed on the pendantic side. The narrator didn’t just no umph on the boring side
