This one made me nervous the whole time. I spent most of the book convinced that one of several calamities would befall the main character, but that was just a smokescreen; when he did encounter a major setback, I never saw it coming.

I was very pleased to find mention of Guild Wars in this one. That's my MMO of choice, and it's the one that helps me to relate to this series.

This book was a good change of pace. He's finally getting some more powerful allies, and I can't wait to see where their adventures go from here. I look forward to the next one!

fantastic story. I had my doubts about the whole lit RPG genre, but this storyline by a great team of authors put them to rest.

but would be 5 if the ending was so absolutely 💯 cringe. just romance cringe and only about 4 lines worth of stuff. but jeezussssss. beyond cringe end
