Loved it!

Royal Heart is was an exciting heist romance that I couldn’t not put down. Damon and Ari had all the chemistry even though she despised him for what had happened in the past. They now have tow work together and pose as husband and wife and the heat ignites between them.

Leila Allarie and Sebastian York narrate this book in duet narration. Leila did great at portraying the hurt and anger Ari had for Damon from their past and Sebastian does great at showcasing Damon’s protectiveness and love for Ari. They both gave good performances.

Loved it

Wow, I loved every second of this book. The narrators did a fantastic job of bringing the story to life and making me forget the world around me. I am pretty sure this is a Robin Hood retelling and I am here for it. As for the story it was everything I wanted it to be, action packed and spicy. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a fantastic love story and a high stakes heist. Personally I loved it!

Royal Heart is book 6 in the Black Rose Auction series following Damon and Ari and special guest Prince Lucas.

Ari lost her father at a young age to a job gone wrong. He never wanted her in this life. So instead he took on a young, male apprentice.

Damon is the young, male apprentice. He learned everything he could until that fateful day.

That day is embedded in Ari’s mind. She hates Damon for getting her father killed. So when he comes knocking at her door needing her help, her answer is a resolute no. But Damon still plays dirty and he pulls the rug out from under her.

As they begin their journey to recover the Royal Heart, they are stiff with each other. Since they are posing as a married couple they need to be believable. But will practice lead to perfection or will it blow up in their faces?

When a surprise player enters the picture how will these two handle the challenges? This player seems to be a step ahead of them at all stops and it is frustrating. But with Prince Lucas on the team will the tides change?

I love Ari and Damon together. They hate each other and yet are so attracted to each other they can’t think straight.

Seeing Prince Lucas in this story was just pure bonus. And his escapades are epic. He apparently has a thing for climbing through air vents.

Seeing Damon’s brother, Max, get his life on track and work for GT on a recovery team was the final deal sealer.

Leila Allarie is a new narrator for me. I enjoyed her voice as Ari and she is a good blend with Sebastian York. It has been awhile, over a year, since I have listened to a SebYo narrated book. It was such a pleasure listening to him again. I have missed his voice.

Fantastic romantic suspense!

Now this is what I am talking about. Nana Malone comes through with the sixth book of her Black Rose Auction series and plays an enemies to lovers romance with a suspenseful, darkness that is fabulous. Ari blames Damon for the death of her father, and has done everything she can to distance herself from him and the life her father led. Now she is approached to help with a retrieval of a stolen jewel, and she is not only hesitant by at first is not interested. Until she is. And now the two will be working together, in close proximity. Danger, passion, betrayals, forgiveness and suspense all comes in and makes this a fabulous story. Ari is frustrating at times, but I love the way her brain thinks, her determination and her love for Damon. Damon is that kind of man, the dangerous yet impossible not to love, protective and passionate man that is so fun to fall for. This is a great listen and I highly recommend it!

Sebastian York and Leila Allarie are amazing together as they bring this story alive. York is Damon, and he becomes the man. A little dark, a little dangerous and a lot delicious, York nails it. Allarie is Ari, and she dives into the grudge Ari holds, and works hard to keep it. I love how she slowly is won over and the difference in her voice as she loves the heist and the man. It's a great collaboration and a listen that should not be missed.

This is the sixth book in the Black Rose Auction series. There is so much to enjoy with this audiobook that is a testament to the author’s writing style. The characters are intriguing and there is also the inclusion of a favorite newfound prince that always brings a good time. Sebastian York is one of my go to narrators so it is always a pleasure to my ears to listen to him bring characters to life. Leila Allarie is a new narrator to me, and her voice is a little pitchy. As it is a duet style, the tones at times sound disjointed but the story pulls things along. Overall, this is one spicy and emotional listen.
