Outstanding! Not what I expected but so much more!

What an amazing story! This author has done it again! Created memorable characters, a remarkable story and the possibility of future novels. Then add in the listening experience of Thomas Locklear and Elise Hoffman and this just gets leveled up! I knew this was going to bo good right away when the two main characters have their meet cute. I could listen to Mr Locklear’s guy saying “You want the full package” over and over to his miss-taken-identity. I enjoyed the interaction between Magdalena and Rook! They made me laugh, chuckle and swoon plus I liked that she did not roll over for him right away.

Overall I was excited for this and am pleased it lived up to my expectations. The narration by Mr Locklear and Ms Hoffman was perfectly done.

I highly recommend this story!

Wow!

This is one of the best audiobooks I’ve ever listened to! Wonderful narration and an amazing, edge of your seat action. I can’t wait for the next one, Bishop!

What do you do when you tell your mom you're dating but that is a lie? You end up answering an ad to hire a boyfriend for the upcoming family dinner. At least that's what Magdalena did at the urging of her roommate and childhood friend.

What do you do when you are sitting in a diner minding your own business and a beautiful, yet slightly awkward, woman comes up to you to hire you to be her boyfriend? You assess the situation. Out of boredom, you agree. What could it hurt? Rook was going to find out that it was going to hurt a lot.

I found this story to be hysterical and awkward. It made me wonder who was responsible for the events that transpired. I was amused at how Dally and Rook interacted. Dally was shy and awkward at times but in others, she was the polar opposite. She was strong and determined. Rook was determined, sexy as heck, and knew how to handle extremely difficult situations.

Bishop and Knight were excellent additions to the story and I cannot wait to read their own books. I could give away a lot to this book, but I choose to leave that to the readers to discover. If you are anything like me you will laugh, cry, blush at the spice, and you may just get fooled over who is responsible for the nefarious things that occur. I will say one thing for sure, I loved the twists, and the chemistry, and I WILL read this book again.

When it comes to the narration Thomas Locklear and Elise Hoffman are a powerhouse team! I can be pretty particular about Audible narration. I have found that Thomas Locklear is one of my absolute favorites. He brings so much personality and life to all of the characters he portrays. Elise Hoffman is equally adorable in her portrayal of Dally. I will continue to listen to books both of these individuals narrate.

I couldn’t put it down and man , I was irritated with the girl at first. But it was definitely a wonderful story. Loved the narrators

Sublime

If I could give this book 100 stars… I would! The dual narration by Thomas and Elise is sublime, and, of course, the writing is as always amazing. I’ve come to expect only the best from L. Ann and she never disappoints!

The characters draw you in from the beginning, and there are so many twists and turns that the story continues to surprise you—until the very end!

You don’t want to miss out on the chemistry between these characters!
