Entertaining, enjoyable and fun romance story with a HEA. The story pulls you in from the start and never lets go.Very likable characters, fun setting and some steamy romance. If you don't like steamy scenes in your romance books move along this is not the book for you.
Lark and Easton have both had their hearts shattered in different ways. Both have given up on love, or so they tell themselves. The heart wants what the heart wants.
This is the first book by Gia Riley that I have ever read, but it will not be the last.
Jeremy Vore does a good job with the narration. Great voice. Clearly spoken, smooth even pace. While he is able to make the characters come to life with the tone and inflection of his narration, there really is not much difference between male and female characters. With a voice that deep it may be hard to do a female voice more feminine. Overall though a very enjoyable listen.

This book is kind of that for me. Don’t get me wrong I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it I am in the in-between, maybe I was expecting too much? I think the plot of this book was pretty cool.
You go on a boat cruise and meet your perfect match. Kinda cool I think. I love that Lark’s girlfriend gets her to go, to get her out of her funk after a terrible break up. Because let’s face it we all need that friend right.
Easton’s heart is smashed, after losing the love of his life he doesn’t know how to come back from that. He also has a pretty amazing friend who is encouraging him to come back to the land of the living not saying he has to forget her just that he needs to start to move on.
I don’t know whether it’s me or what but I just don’t see the meaning to “forgetting” with alcohol. Yes its fiction but I just don’t see the appeal.
In the end it was and ok book. I was surprised the audio has a male narrator. Don’t get me wrong his voice is smooth as butter. But I thought the book would have been more suited for a female narrator.

I received this book free from the author through Audiobook Boom, for an honest review. The concept was very original. The writing was good and the story grabbed me from the start and flowed strongly through the entire listen.
The narrator had a great voice for Easton, unfortunately, it didn't change for the Lark. More than often, I found myself wondering which character's dialog I was listening to.
As romances go, it had it all right. IMO, I think Easton fell in love a bit too fast while Lark became painfully reluctant. I would have liked seeing more of their time together instead of the bulk of their relationship being built on their pasts. The ending was a complete surprise. Nicely done, Aidan!
ROCKIN' STORY... Needs a feminine voice.

Would you try another book from Gia Riley and/or Jeremy Vore?
OK, I enjoyed the storyline a great deal, as far as the narrative goes not a big fan. I couldn't tell half the time who was talking, it's messed up the story for me many times. Jeremy has a beautiful voice, but it just sounded like someone reading the story to me. I didn't feel much emotion or attempt to make the charators come to life for the listener. What other book might you compare Rock the Boat to and why?
It was unique that's for sure, can't compare with any others because I don't think I've read anything similar. Really enjoyed the story. What three words best describe Jeremy Vore’s voice?
Beautiful, smooth, strongWas Rock the Boat worth the listening time?
For me I'm going to say no, I think I would have enjoyed it more if I read it. I do have it on ebook and I think I may just to do that.Any additional comments?
