From the author of One Pink Line comes a story about letting go of the past and finding bravery in the depths of fear. Set on the sun-soaked beaches of Thailand and the rough waters of the Indian Ocean, The Unimaginable paints a vivid portrait of a young woman on a journey to find herself—and her harrowing fight for survival.
After twenty-eight years of playing by the rules, Jessica Gregory moves from her small Indiana town to Phuket, Thailand. But her newfound routine is upended with the arrival of Grant Flynn, a captivating, elusive man who is sailing around the world while trying to move on from a past tragedy. Jessica volunteers to help crew Grant's boat, Imagine, on a passage across the Indian Ocean and finds herself falling in love with him as the voyage gets underway. But when disaster strikes, Jessica must summon her courage as the crew is confronted by unspeakable terrors - and, aboard a boat named for such promise, comes the unimaginable.

I enjoyed this book. It was entertaining and kept me interested the whole time. The second half of the book was so compelling that I couldn't put it down. The story was so intense and heartbreaking at times. I can't imagine going through any of the events that happen. Grant and Jessica both have to face things that they go through. This story ultimately is about letting go and going after what you really want in life. This story shows that people should do that before it's too late. Now, everyone listen to this book so that we can discuss what happens, because I'm dying over here!!!
Amy McFadden was really good with the delivery of the story

What did you love best about The Unimaginable?
The story was good. I was pleasantly surprised as its not in my normal genre. What other book might you compare The Unimaginable to and why?
I'm not sure I have a comparison. Sorry!Did Amy McFadden do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
She did, but I found her voice very annoying. She sounds Like someone that would be hanging out with the Kardashian fam. Her pronunciations are teeny-boppy, for example when she says the word "said" it comes out sounding like "sad". She has "vocal fry", if you don't know what it is, do a Google search. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I really liked the scene when Jessica is confessing to Grant that she read his dead wifes letter. I was expecting the predictable romantic\betrayal outcome of him pushing her away and her spending the remainder of the book trying to win back his trust. (Eye roll) instead, he said it was no big deal and they moved on. It was very refreshing.Any additional comments?
I think I would even give the narrator a second chance....but she needs to lose the weird vocal fry thing......please!Good Story, but the narrator has "vocal fry"...ugh

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Yes, an enjoyable story..What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Love HEAs.Would you listen to another book narrated by Amy McFadden?
This narrator is very one dimensional with all the many books I've listened to her read. She always sounds the same and always gushes. It's the GUSHING that I'm getting tired of. I'm thinking she gets so many gigs because she must not charge as much as others in her field.Could you see The Unimaginable being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Yes because of the gorgeous places in the story. Josh Duhamel or Bradley Cooper and Jennifer LawrenceGood Adventure

WOW. Loved this story

Once the story picks up, it is easier to get past the horrible narration. It also starts to seem as though the writing becomes more complex- though, again, this may simply be because the content becomes more serious and the narrator can’t read the main character as a giggly idiotic school girl.
Bottom line- The Unimaginable is probably better suited to book format than audiobook. (Though maybe it would be more bearable as an audiobook with a different narrator... Kate reading could do it justice, I’m sure.)
Stick with reading this one over listening to it...
