They were told to stay out of the ten-day war, but their side lost in the first hour.
Their future is at stake, so now the Butcher and the other workers have to do the impossible: Win a war without anyone know they are fighting. Luckily, they have Fearless Leader on their side to help them carry out their campaign of terror and sabotage as they use every dirty trick they can think of to even the odds.
Twenty-Five workers with no weapons or magic versus two-hundred and fifty regular players.
The other side is in for a big surprise.
Book 2 of this isekai LitRPG adventure by Walrus King, the bestselling author of Tunnel Rat.
Crammed with stats, power progression, a fully-developed cast of characters, deep worldbuilding, and a healthy blend of action and humor, it's perfect for fans of Dakota Krout, Michael Chatfield, and RinoZ.

What really stood out was the handling of the Fearless Leader mystery. The character is enigmatic yet pivotal, and piecing together the clues—who issues quests, responds to conversations, and ultimately guides ACME to victory—was genuinely engaging. My personal theory is that Ben, present during all the critical moments and active throughout the war, fits the role perfectly. His intelligence, observation, and subtle influence make him a natural leader while remaining under the radar.
The book also leaves room for alternate interpretations, including the possibility that Fearless Leader is a system-created persona. The AI’s hidden agendas, omniscience, and indirect influence make this theory tempting, and I suspect the author deliberately sets readers up for that twist. This ambiguity adds depth and replay value, encouraging careful attention to what’s “real” versus what the system might be orchestrating behind the scenes.
Overall, the story delivers rich lore, strategic intrigue, and memorable characters. It keeps you guessing, rewards close attention, and balances high-stakes action with clever worldbuilding. Four stars reflects my strong enjoyment tempered by minor flaws, but I’m excited to continue the series.
