Reverb - noun: an echo like force or effect.
My life is a cliché.
Rags to riches. A bad boy rock star. Everyone loves me.
On the outside, it looks like I have it all but nothing is further from the truth.
I died at 18. Lost the only thing I ever wanted.
Her.
At rock bottom, music becomes my life support and sometimes, it isn’t enough.
Then, out of nowhere, she shows up. A crash cart to my near-still heart.
Reunited, we struggle with the realization that the past is littered with lies and betrayal.
And worst of all, what tore us apart is determined to keep it that way.
Even as my heart beats strong and steady with the hope of our future, is it too late for us?
I’m filthier than ever and she’s no longer mine, but I’ll fight for her anyway.
We belong together, and I’ll prove them wrong.
Novels in the Trojan series are interconnected stand-alones, each with an HEA. Listening to them in order is not crucial, but is highly recommended.
Listening order:

Honestly, I wasn’t sure that I wanted to read a book about Jared after meeting him in Clutch, but S.M. West does a fantastic job of showing us why Jared had behaved the way he did. He was a broken man who had lost his heart and his will for living. Underneath that hardened shell was a gentle man who loves completely and forever. It was beautiful. Jared’s journey of redemption and self-discovery was not easy and he fought tooth and nail for his future. His love for Eva was a thing of beauty and it made him want to be a better man.
Eva was such a kind and gentle soul and she loved fiercely. While she wasn’t afraid to fight for Jared, she also wanted to please her family. She was betrayed in the worst ways, but she was able to push through the pain and emerge even stronger on the other side.
These two did not have an easy road and had so many obstacles thrown at them, but their love never wavered. The depth of the betrayal they faced and the strength of their devotion was humbling.
The narrators for Reverb captured me from their first syllable and I was transfixed until the end. Jacob Morgan was OUTSTANDING! I swear the emotion was bleeding from his voice in some of the heartbreaking scenes and I could literally hear the pain in his voice. Carmen Vine's performance was equally captivating.
Reverb was an incredibly rich and emotional story that will shatter your heart and then put it back together again. Jared and Eva are wonderfully complex characters who are able to survive and overcome every hurdle that is thrown in their way. They are truly meant to be. Don’t miss this fascinating story.

The story begins when Jared and Eva are teenagers and continues 13 years later for their second chance at love.
Highly recommended!
I just couldn’t stop listening to this story. I loved Jacob Morgan as Jared and Carmen Vine did a great job as Eva.
Highly recommended! 💕

This was my first book from this author. I only bought it bcz of Jacob Morgan and it was on sale. But it’s worth a credit for sure. It was my first experience with Carmen Vine, who BTW, did a great job although her voice had a theatrical pitch to it for most of the book- I normally hate that but it was tolerable. The accents were great- though I wish more Spanish was more authentically spoken, but it was fine just the same. I feel like this review is mediocre, but that’s not my intent at all. Parts of it kinda surprised me and other parts were no shock. It was a good balance and low angst which I like. Anyway, if you’re a JM fan, this is a must have!
#FANGIRL! 💕

Oh, how my heart breaks for these two. 💔💔 Eva and Jared were torn apart at a point in their young lives where the loss of first love like it occurred was all-consuming. Teenage angst led to blackened, broken adult hearts.
When the truth comes to light? Yeah, things turn upside down for those who lied and kept silent about the truth, while Jared and Eva do everything they can to make up for lost time. It's hot and sweet but there's more to it. It's not all rainbows and unicorns as they face some of the harsh realities of what they went through and how they coped in the years they were apart but it is a beautiful story at the end. I loved how they were open and honest about the good, the bad, and the ugly of it all. They didn't sit around braiding each others hair and spill all of the details immediately. They had to work up the courage for some subjects but they did face them. While not perfect, the ending is as it should have been.
I didn't read book 1 of this series and I think that's fine. There are crossover characters, and likely some of the events, but I didn't feel lost. This book stands on its own.

Now, the narrators, Jacob Morgan and Carmen Vine, were great to listen to. I enjoyed what they brought to the characters as they blew life into them.

Jared was NOT a character I wanted a story in. I hated....yes hated him in the last book. He was such a jerk! In here we see where he came from and how he arrived at that terrible place in his life. The author actually made me *like* and worry about him. Eva really went through the wringer. I feel for her! Luckily she had the memories to look back in with Jared to overcome some but others....I think Thank Goodness she has Jared!
Overall this book just surprised, shocked and kept me on their ride...page after page. I enjoyed seeing Silas and Pansy plus their new relationship with Jared. I did listen to this on audio. The narrators did a good job.
I look forward to more from these boys.
I loved getting to know these two!
