Retribution

This was a fantastic story. Tons of mystery and intrigue, it kept me on the edge of my seat.

While it was a little hard to differentiate when chapters were in different POVs, I enjoyed the narrator. She did a great job portraying the MCs emotions.

I'm excited to continue with this series!

Overall Fantastic Book.

This book was great. Not my favorite performer though. But otherwise the book was great. I loved this thriller.

A great book to read or listen to.

I read this book when it first came out and was excited to find out that it had been made into an Audio book. I listened to this book on a road trip and it made the miles fly by. The reader brought the book to life as a female reader and a book with a female lead character (I'm male, this is a shared account with my wife). It definitely made it feel like you were in her head all the way through the book. The reader also added quite a few extra touches that greatly enhanced the experience. I highly recommend taking the time to listen to this book.

Suspense and mystery

This was a super great read listen. The mystery of who was after the FMC. The tension, the questions, and the suspense was great.
You could hear the emotions in the narration.
Imagine working for the CIA for years not expecting to find the love of your life. Then once found you don’t want to lose him. So you decide to put your notice in. But only to be hunted for what, your at a loss to it all. But you want revenge.

good mystery

I enjoyed listening to this book. The mystery and adventure in this story kept me on my toes. It was a fun listen.

Great Read

Great plot with plenty of suspense. The narrator was very good and added to the enjoyment.

Almost 5 stars

I bought this book because of the premise. A bad-a woman assassin out for revenge. This is the world's top assassin and she shows it. However, the story takes some odd turns here and there. For an elite operative Drenna makes some obvious and boneheaded mistakes and does things that put her and her allies in greater danger. Much can be explained due to the stress of the events, but not all.
All in all, it was a very good start to a promising series. If not for a couple of relatively minor hiccups, I would have given 5 stars.
The performance was good but not great. Hopefully the author will improve on the next one in the series. I have high hopes and will read the next one.

Amazing mystery, spy thriller!

I really enjoyed this mystery, spy thriller. Drenna Steele, long time CIA agent and world class assassin was on the verge of retirement, but an assassination attempt causes her to fake her own death. Retribution is Drenna’s journey to finding the truth and avenging her boyfriend’s death. There were so many twists and turns in this book I was thrown for a loop so many times! I was trying to figure out who the villain was with all the clues and John Sneeden had me confused a few times, but I eventually figured it out. This was a really enjoyable read and I’ll definitely read the next one!

I enjoyed the narration and the narrator really brought Drenna’s character to light. I also enjoyed the other accents the narrator portrayed for the characters.
