Resumen del Editor

Can a reformed player ever truly play by someone else's rules?

Sam Walsh has finally put an end to decades of self-destruction, turned over a healthy new leaf, and now he's ready to call himself a married man. But love and marriage are only the beginning, and life is about to get much more complicated.

Will tying the knot tie down a free spirit?

Tiel Desai never imagined herself getting married again, and before she can blink, she's swept up into the Walsh wedding whirlwind. If that chaos isn't enough, she's also busy winning over her future in-laws, grappling with a bumpy adjustment to her new job, and staying afloat when a string of disappointments hit.

They're building a future, but can they ever fully demolish the past?

Sam and Tiel beat back their demons and learned to love each other, but love might not be enough to solve every problem that crawls their way.

Sam and Tiel 2.0

In this "sequel" to Necessary Restorations, we go back a little on the timeline from the previous book and we follow Sam and Tiel as they plan their wedding and move into married life. Definitely not a standalone as you need to know how they got together to fully appreciate this one.

They get their "surprise wedding" while dealing with Tiel's horrible family and all the regular Walsh shenanigans.

Even before tying the knot, Sam and Tiel already start trying to expand he family. They go through heartbreak and loss, but dealing with it all in a very much more mature and adult-y way now.

As in all the Walsh books, we keep up with all the Walshes and Riley ("the screw-up") is becoming and endearing true favorite. I absolutely love all the nicknames he comes up with and how loyal and reliable he is in keeping his siblings' secrets (even through he has his own secret he's been keeping and that's killing him inside). I love how Sam and, mostly, Tiel put up with him living with them at the firehouse. The poor guy is a master of "walking in on stuff".

A little sadder due to the subjects it deals with, but another great addition to the series.

Narration: The amazingly talented duo Christian Fox/Lucy Rivers reprising their roles.

(Magnolia Santillian has a bigger presence in this one and is the trigger for a dognapping caper!)

Rep and possible triggers: MMC is type one diabetic and has other chronic ailments; parent loss; family abandonment experienced by FMC; infertility issues; miscarriage

So real

Heartbreaking my so at times. I read the santillian series first so had wondered about Sam. once I started series I knew he'd be my favorite. tiel is such a special young woman. I'd like my granddaughters to be almost like her, the insecurity can stay away, far away! I really love how Kate writes. her characters are some of the most real I've ever encountered, I'm old folks!

Resilient

Sam and Tiel have had their ups and downs and they have an intense love for each other but life has not been kind to them. In this their second chance together the hits keep coming but they've learned to weather the storm and manage to get even hotter and more steamy. Their promise to always be open and honest certainly helps but alas, they're only humans. It was truly thrilling to see them fight for their love and come out hot, heavy, madly in love and extremely happy in the end. They're very resilient

Sam & Tiel - Part 2

I just love Sam. The way he goes to bat for Tiel against her family, the way he soothes her when she has a melt down before their wedding because none of her family would be there to celebrate with her, how he chants to himself "I love my wife, I love my wife, I love my wife" as he endures that uncomfortable doctor's exam to make sure he was able to father children with her. I love the way he loves Tiel.

I feel like Christian Fox narrated Sam in a slightly higher voice in this book, though. It didn't feel like the same Sam from the previous books.

OMG! Restored is perfect.

Restored is a glimpse into Sam and Tiel’s journey through planning and celebrating their marriage which is perfect, unique and I love everything about it. Then we look into their journey of becoming parents for the very first time. Again, the author writes a beautiful, poignant road to parenthood for Sam and Tiel. I laugh, cry and celebrate with them. I feel like Sam and Tiel are my friends and I cheer them on. I’m so happy I discovered author Kate Canterbary. Her books are unforgettable and a great way to relax and escape my reality.

Tiel & Sam part 2 with predictable HEA

Sam and Tiel starts out as more of the same as they deal with their own insecurities plus the ups and downs of married life. Their adjustments are more drawn out as the deal with a meddling helpful band of close friends and Sam’s meddling siblings. There is a some predictable and not uncommon heartbreak and the continued drama revolving around terrible parent issues which seems to heighten their own determination. Also by now the joke of younger brother Reilly flashing everyone is more gross than funny. This book needed to be majorly edited and combined with one of the other books and it ends up being more annoying than fun or sweet especially with Tiel’s moping and being unhappy with herself and her job. She ends up being responsible for another Patrick guilt trip when clearly her stress is at least half the problem.. Sam has become such a pleaser for being a former man whore, and he ends up in a complete role reversal as a candidate for husband of the year.
