great read

great read, loved this entire series, the first part and the second part.. .

Fantastic grumpy hero book

This was a great story with refreshingly different types of characters. Wade is a very different type of hero. He is grumpy, doesn’t get emotional and likes to have control in his world, but there is something sweet that hovers underneath that you can catch glimpses every so often. He is also an introvert, which I typically do not see in hero. Dara is trying to find her way after her mother has passed away. She is a strong heroine, but has a vulnerability that is just underneath her shield. I enjoyed Wade and Dara’s relationship of challenging each other and watching them grow closer (much to Wade’s dismay). For Adriana Locke fans, there are several Easter eggs in this story, especially since this book contains Holt and Blaire’s wedding. There is also a twist in the end with some of her other characters. (If you are new to Adriana or this series, don’t worry - this is a complete standalone).

Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott are two of my favorite narrators. I really enjoyed this book when I initially read it, but the narration added so much to the story that it made me like it even more.

My favorite Mason!

I have been waiting for Wade’s story and was NOT disappointed! Darah Is his perfect match and Wade gives Darah something she has longed for since losing her mother. I feel this book was more emotional than the others, and I was tears a couple times! Let’s not forgot the HUGE bomb at the end!!! I about fell over!!

The only thing that would have made this better was more audio from Mr. Ross! Because he is 🔥 to my ears!

a great audiobook

Adriana Locke has a knack for creating characters who keep you engaged and invested as you get to know them throughout a series.

As I read the Mason Family series I was really looking forward to Wade's book and it did not disappoint! He and Dara were so great together. They had a strong connection and I liked the growth they had together and individually.

I like Adriana's writing and storytelling styles quite a bit. There's sweetness, steam, a little drama, fun, and emotional moments all wrapped up in one entertaining and engaging story!

The narration was great, too. I can be picky about narrators for my audiobooks and Wen and Kai were perfectly cast.

Love the story

I really like the story, but the female reader was awful and the male was pretty good. I hate the way after every sentence they read, “I say.” It became very irritating.

The Mason Family Series!

Resolution (The Mason Family Series, Book 5) is Wade Mason and Dara's enemies-to-lovers office romance with a twist of clashing personalities. I loved getting a glimpse of Wade on the earlier books and getting his story now. The writing style is entertaining and the banter between the characters is the cherry on top. Love the supporting character's and how they accentuate the story. Compelling character's, sweet and spicy listen.

Wen Ross, Kai Kennicott are amazing with these character's and their story to reality. Excellent performances with intoxicating tone of Wen Ross and Kai's sweet and fun tone.

I really enjoyed reading this author.  I look forward to reading more books by this author in the near future.

Wade and Dara were worth the wait

This is the long awaited story about Wade Mason, the most introverted of the Mason brothers. Wade is broody, doesn't really like physical contact (or fun), he is a brilliant architect, and doesn't have time for anything that isn't on his busy schedule. Wade isn't devoid of emotion, he just doesn't have time for them, he likes everything in it's place and emotions tend to be unpredictable and messy. Enter Dara, while she isn't his complete opposite, she complements Wade in every way. Dara owns her own business, she drives her car like it is a racecar, and doesn't always have everything mapped out. They both have some baggage to deal with when it comes to relationships. They are forced to spend alot of time together when Wade is contracted to design Dara's dream house for her. The both realize that there might be more to their working relationship if they can give each other a chance.

I loved the banter and humor of this. I laughed out loud so many times while reading this. There were so many quotable lines. From the very beginning when Wade and Dara meet their conversations are filled with innuendo, and they are always cracking jokes at one another's expense. Slowly Wade comes out of his shell and starts to laugh and smile, in the books about his brothers we see him commanding them around to get work done so he can get on with whatever he was doing. It was nice to see a softer side of his personality. I loved Dara, she is such a great character! This has it all, it touches your emotions, makes you laugh, has some angst, has great characters, and has a great story that I could not put down!

This is the 5th book in the Mason series, but it does read as a standalone. If you want to get to know the other Mason brothers I'd highly recommend reading the rest of the books in the series as well as The Relationship Pact. We get closure on several threads that have been woven through the series, but you get enough background info to understand what is going on without having to read all of the other books.

If you have listened to any of the previous books in the Mason series, you will recognize the narrators. As with the previous books the narrators did a wonderful job with Wade and Dara. They each have their own personality that is different from the previous couples, yet you know when the other characters come into play. They both bring life to the book in such a wonderful way! If you haven't listened to the previous books, you are in for a treat. As I mentioned above you can pick this up as a standalone, but starting at the beginning with Restraint will help pull together a few of the other storylines that come to a close in this book. They are all amazing in print or on audio.

Its always the quiet ones

Oh how I love the story of the quiet one. The one that has something they have been hiding from or avoiding. Wade Mason is one of the great quiet ones. I loved getting glimpses of his personality from the previous books but nothing truly prepared me for who Wade Mason really is. This was a story I was not expecting and I am so glad I listened to it. Listening to the drawls and dulcet tones of the embodiment of Wade Mason was the only way to go for me.
This story has unexpected passion, Drive for individuality, success and a connection no one saw coming.

Enemies to lovers

I’ve read this book prior to the audio. I knew what to expect so nothing came as a shock. I’ve listened to this narration pairing before and haven’t been disappointed yet! I feel like they always do a great job and can make the characters come to life. Although there would be a couple small tweeks I would make, I thought that it was very well done. If there’s a pair I can count on for the narration it’s these two. A must listen for any audio lover.
