Captivating!
Rescued by Love is a delightful story of two people who are opposite in many ways, but find that they are actually much more alike than they would have thought. Devon Gallagher is an independent young lady who hasn't followed the path that her mother demanded. She wasn't interested in becoming a "lady of the manor" when what she wanted to do was to buy a pet store and fill it with ferrets, turtles, snakes and other exotic animals. Lucas O’Shaunnessey is a multi-millionaire who owns Pet Paradise, a nationwide chain of pet supply stores. Everything but the animals! Their stores are located close to one another and it's not long before they're close in another way. Actually, Lucas isn't quite sure of what's come over him because he's always been the kind of man who'd never be serious about a woman. He has a standing "friendship" with a sexy, but inordinately creepy, woman that he's not quite so interested in now that he's met Devon. And Devon is inexperienced in most every way and doesn't understand or trust that Lucas can actually be interested in someone who doesn't care about living the high class life. They are so precious together and, thankfully, there's little angst as they navigate their way to a steamy and sweet happy ever after.
Aiden Black was marvelous with the narration. His clear and dynamic voice brought each character to life with a unique personality and attitude.
