Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!!

great story

This story was well written and the sexual tension between the H and h were off the charts. Neither character acted immature or annoying. I was afraid there would be too much sex and not enough plot but I was wrong. the balance was very good. the Narrator was terrific and was able to make the h sound innocent and the H sound both heartless and swoonworthy at the same time.

Hot! Hot! Hot! From the first chapter, this sizzling story had my attention! Senator Graham Delaney has set his sights on Eleanor Courtney. The daughter of whom he has deemed the revenge he needed to get back at her father. But something about this woman has worked her way into his heart. With Elle(Eleanor) is no lighting violet. She is on her own as her ideals do not align with those of her politically motivated father, and she does what she has to do to pay for her education. She is not afraid of hard work, but Graham has offered her a solution she cannot refuse. Now these two have something hidden from the world, but intentions are not completely shared. Will Elle still want to be with the dirty talking, sexy senator? Will he want to keep Elle after the allotted time? And what will become of her father? In every good romantic, political suspense, we have to have secrets, and the ones that are kept in this one can ruin lives. Emily Snow, you had my attention the entire time, waiting for the shoe to drop and when it does, it does with a huge bang! This is a great listen, and I will be grabbing more from this author soon!

Amy Hall is our story teller and she is new to me. I enjoyed her portrayal of the characters, as she delves into the secrets. Her voice for Elle is spunky and intelligent, ready to spar. Graham's voice is tantalizing and teasing, always ready to get the best of Elle, perfect for him! The story flows and is engaging. I loved her performance.

Naughty, deep and perfect!

Elle Courtney, cut off by her overbearing father, jobless and broke, makes a deal with Senator Graham Delaney. It’s supposed to be purely physical, one semester, no strings, and her her tuition gets paid. Well, her tuition DID get paid, as for the rest, wrong, wrong, WRONG! I expected a light, hot fluffy listen. I was wrong, wrong WRONG, in all the best ways possible! His Pawn was a surprisingly deep, HOT, well written, well narrated story that kept me engaged, kept me warm and kept me glued to my headphones! Word to the wise, don’t forget your headphones! Senator Graham Delaney has elevated dirty talking to a hot, so hot, naughty art form through the magical writing of this talented author! It was the perfect contrast to the innocence of Elle! The plot was so much deeper than I expected. The characters are well developed, with a good mix of likable and non. I loved how the story affected the characters on so many levels as it progressed. It felt natural and real, nothing felt forced or contrived. I won’t get into details, that would be playing spoiler, but I can say that it was absolutely brilliant story telling, at times heart wrenching, at times bahls to the wall, at time uplifting, and ran the full spectrum of emotions. I loved everything about this five star listen! Oh and Graham has two naughty brothers and I would love to hear their stories, hint hint!

I liked that there was strong character development in this book. There was also nice character growth. I think the narrator did a fantastic job bringing them to life.

Good but NOT Steller

This was an enjoyable listen, but not one I would listen to twice. The plot of the "too good and excessively forgiving and naive young lady" was just a little too unrealistic. If you like the young adult and beginning enemies-to-lovers genre books, this will probably be for you or a young lady you may know.
The narrators were excellent.

Great Story & Narration🎧 Captivating & Heartfelt!

This amazing ‘enemies to lovers’ romance has it all, an alpha, dirty talking, out for revenge, politician and the victim who will be his path to that revenge, the pawn, except she will be no one’s victim. It is a wonderfully written and cleverly plotted book, the storylines are interesting and original and they grabbed my attention immediately and captivated it straight to the end. The characters are easy to relate to and connect with, Senator Graham Delaney is a full of himself, cocky politician, he is the type of person you hate to love or love to hate. He has one thing on his mind, but that one thing becomes two after he meets Elle Courtney, his pawn, who quickly became his obsession. Elle Courtney is the daughter of Senator, a Senator who is looking to run for a bigger office, he has constituents to please and values to support, unfortunately his children do not share those same values and he threatens to stop paying for his daughters college tuition if she does not get on board with him and his beliefs. She refuses and finds another way to pay her tuition, she gets a job, a job that led her to Graham. Once Graham found out who she was, he came up with a plan and put it into motion, a plan to possess her in every aspect of her life. Emily Snow masterfully builds their relationship, a cat and a mouse. Elle feels drawn to him and he knows it, and despite of her reluctance everything is going as planned on his end, that is until feelings develop. And when she finds out something he never wanted her to find out, he must place all the cards are on the table and the way Elle handles it all is quite surprising, especially to Graham. The chemistry between these two is sizzling hot, you can feel it pour of the pages. There is plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and some hot sexy times in this book and there is never a dull moment. Emily Snow, thank you for another fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧 📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Amy Hall is a talented narrator and a versatile voice artist. She does a great job bringing these characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice and personality, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. She had a complete understanding of the characters she portrayed, sounding believable in every role she played and just as I pictured the characters to sound. She set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into her performance. Amy Hall is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the fantastic listen.
