A pleasant surprise!

I stumbled upon the first book in this series and was pleasantly surprised by the plot. The author does a great job of giving true substance to the story. Loved unraveling the mystery in each book. And I’m about to start the next one!

Fantastic author and narration

The plot makes one wonder how often this crime has been perpetrated over the eons. Very scary and very well written. Thank you for including Elizabeth and the Duke as a part of this story. Keeps the entire series interesting. 👍🏻

Excellent narrator and series!

I love the narrator's ability to speak welsh words/ phrases. She is able to emote the variety of moods which make this series of books even better than I expected. I expected excellence and received it!

Narrator's swallowing...

Narrator is good, but she swallows really loudly. Sorry if you didn't hear it before...now it's all you are going to hear :D
I enjoyed the first book more, but that's just personal preference.

weakest of the series

i say this is the weakest of the series as the hero is jerk for most of the book, this series does have some unrealistic plot lines, but they are entertaining without being overlong and with strong characters and consensual adult relationships (though there is mentions of youthful relationships). I preferred the other books in the series but it is also a decent read. all books have romance, suspense, mystery and steamy sex scenes.

Great Story

Can’t wait
To read the next book in the series. I love that the characters are so well defined and full of background that the reader feels they KNOW them personally. It makes the books so much more pleasurable to read and this narrator does a great job with all the voices and emphasis on the accents.

Would be 5 stars if…

This would have been a five star story if it wasn’t full of sex scenes. The storyline was great, so was the narration! I don’t need sexual details to enjoy a book.

Strong characters

The author does a good job with the twists and turns. I enjoyed Jack and Carys characters.
The reader does a good job doing each character. I think she has been the best female reader I’ve heard reading novels. She didn’t make me wince as she changed characters.

a rough kinda love story...loved it!

Caris & Jack had a hard life story and their love stood the time. She knew what she wanted and she got it!
Jack had nothing but finally knew how to love her!
Narrator was great again with all the different characters!!!

Okay, better than the first book

This book was better than the first book, But like the first book, it leave some thing hanging. Like Jack's friend Richard, What happen with him? And what actually happens with Jack's brothers and father? The story just isn't developed all the way.

SInce the book is part of Plus Catalog, at least one isn't wasting a credit or money on it.
