well written but lacking in imagination

although this book has a good basic concept, it feels as though it rides that one plot line into the ground. it is lacking for substantial character development and growth. it takes a long time to get where it's going and then abruptly ends. felt hard to pick back up at times and the use of Walker in the three novels does not feel cohesive. definitely the worst of the three in this trilogy.

The best for last!!!

This series has impressed me the more a read... but the last one “Red Hands” has to be the best. Ben walker is an amazing layered and cinematic character always thrust into odd yet thrilling circumstances. Three books is not enough... worth the credit for each book.

I love this character!

Although Ararat is still my favorite Ben Walker book, Red Hands does not disappoint. I really appreciate the emphasis on the family bond. I can't wait for the next Ben Walker book. These need to be movies.

Good story but it it slogs

The thing about the Ben Walker books is that the supernatural element gets more explanation… to an extent. I would have liked to know more. A lot of this feels a bit protracted, and almost as if Golden espoused some interesting personal views given the fact this was published in 2020. Regardless, I enjoyed it.

I kind of wish there would be some level of follow-up regarding the dibbuk from “Ararat”.

I really hate the military horror sub genre

And I should’ve known better… Good writing, good story, just could not handle the espionage traitors crap. I think my dad would love this one. As well as westerns.
