The author ties a lot of things together here. This time the miscreants don’t fare so well.

Unexpected people grow into better people.

An unexpected change from the other five volumes. Yes, it is that noticeable. Thumbs up!

Excellent all around

I sincerely hope that this is not the end of the series. The characters are too well written to be forgotten. I want to know what comes next.

my favorite series

I listening to about 70 books a year, mostly sci-go, and the Donovan series is my favorite. Reckoning does not disappoint, both reintroducing the threatening influence of the Corporation and continuing the development of our favorite Donovanians.

Can’t wait for the next installment!

This Series Was Worth The Time

Each book, I thought he’d drop the ball and each book was very, very good.

An exciting story and could not pick a better narrator. I was sorry to end the last audio book of series.

How Alyssa reads the story the listener feels more of the threat and horror. The books descriptions become more vivid, threatening as you focus on each creature or threat to the colony. The inner thoughts of the characters become your own.



Always a master with word, Michael has named this book as it should be. The hint itself is the title. The book is a reckoning for all the characters new and old in the book. The soft meat has made it to Donovan. After the successful return to Earth of Turalon and Ashanti, overflowing with cargo, and plundering rich despots, protected by family, there will be a reckoning. What the corporation does not understand is their methods do not work on Donovan. Their wormtongue-esque, corporate sponsored investigators are in the scare of a lifetime. People come to Donovan for three reasons, to leave, to find themselves and to die. This book stays true to the Donovan epitaph, as the families of the corporation learn the hard way, even the Taglioni family. It's better to have a lineage than a family. Great job, Michael, and you need a seventh book. Someone else back at Transluna needs a reckoning.

A Must Read Science Fiction Series

I have read some of Mr. Gear's other novels and while they are good this series stands out and has become a must read for me. I like the twist and turns in the story and the alien world that has been created.

Great series , love them !
