Four brothers find love.

A really enjoyable listen. The story of 4 brothers finding love in unexpected ways. Each story contains drama, humor, love story, and tales of Scotland in the 1400’s. Ms Castel weaves a good story around one family with 4 brothers. This is the first 2 stories. I found the stories highly entertaining; finding myself laughing, holding my breath, crying, and smiling at the beautiful love stories. The narrator is easy to listen to and I enjoyed the Scottish accent. I can recommend listening to this audiobook.

Titles in synopsis are not correct

Enjoying the stories - however the summary/synopsis does not match the stories included in the volume. Not sure who is responsible for the update - but I was interested in the stories advertised. Those included in this are fine, but not what I intended to purchase.

Excellent two story audiobooks

This is a collection of two audio books. Each book is a story of one of four Scottish brothers. The books are stand alone stories but do continue a common plot line. Each story added more to this plot line. The characters are well developed and the plot moves along at a good pace. The narrative is done in a Scottish accent. This is a nice touch. Her Scottish accent was easy to understand and very soft. I listened to the audio book in Audible. It had a clear sound. I did receive this as an ARC audio book and am writing a voluntary honest review.

Narration

First I loved the story in the audio version. It's a long and intense story that I may have found a bit difficult to read but in the audio version it was amazing. Besides the plot, characters and overall excellent writing, it was narrated so beautifully it's beyond words. This narrator easily changed character voices and was easy to follow yet more than that she used a true Scottish accent throughout the entire story. Words I have thought right along I have been saying correctly not took on a completely different meaning when spoken in the true language of the time. Bravo to both the author for writing the story and selecting the narrator and to the narrator for her exceptional work.
