I am not really very crunchy but now that I know more, I will do more!
I am not really very crunchy. After reading Emily's book I can now say that I am probably 'scrunchy', but the world Emily is apart of is as far apart from mine as our millennial upbringings are close. I had terrific parents who were doing amazing things for the people and community around them but that meant my sister and I were on our own for play and entertainment, and our best friends were our VHS collection of Disney animated classics and second hand Barbie dolls. Now that I have children of my own, I've begun to see the cracks in my own childhood and how they affect how I interact with my own children. Emily's videos got me on the path to more outdoor and open ended play (which were strangers to me more than I knew) and now after finishing her beautiful book, I'm off on my journey to try and change our diet and surroundings a bite at a time. I will probably never be really very crunchy but thanks to Emily and Jason, I will do everything I can to do what's best for my family and knowing more, I will do more. Thank you both!

She's so real!!
I love how practical she is in her teaching, and how she has a story for every lesson. She doesn't hold back the facts, but she delivers them so gracefully, that you never feel judged. She shares for the better of everyone who wants to learn, but reminds us that our personality can be just as toxic as what we consume if we're not careful!! It is so worth the listen, especially if you want to get the mind gears moving!

love the crunch
I enjoyed this audiobook so, especially the earnest and gentle ways of the author and her sidekick husband sharing his perspective. Enjoyed learning some new things, and reviewing my own crunchy values. also really glad author is not the judgy sort of crunchy mama! looking forward to sharing this book with kindred spirits. <3 ... I might even proselytize...a little!

So much goodness!
I finished this over the course of 2 days. I usually don't stay engaged long enough to listen to audio books and barely make it halfway before forgetting to turn in back on. I took a chance on this one and am so glad I did! I followed Emily on social for a while and it was really cool hearing her lifestyle without having to tell what is satire or not. I've been making moves to a more crunchier lifestyle, but thos was the inspiration I was looking for. Judgment free advise! Get this! you won't regret it.

I wish it were longer!
Emily and Jason are so relatable! I wish I could be friends with them in real life. This book is exactly what I was hoping for: suggestions for how to be really very crunchy, and a closer look at the real Emily.

Enjoyable and educational
Emily was such an enjoyable narrator! I’m probably a “scrunchie”. I homeschool, bake from scratch, love going barefoot, and I dye my hair purple. 😂 But I felt like we could be amazing friends listening to her. She had very practical suggestions on helping you with your crunchy spectrum without any of it being overwhelming. I loved listening to Jason’s thoughts at the end of each chapter, some were funny, some were sweet, and some showed what a remarkable couple they are together.
