It’s an excellent resource for anyone looking to start a garden and grow their own food at home. This comprehensive guide offers simple steps and valuable insights to help beginners become master raised bed gardeners.
The information is not limited to raised beds because it’s encyclopedic, and what you learn will transfer to other forms of gardening. It is the most comprehensive book I have encountered for small areas so far. I have recommended it to my daughter, who has a half-acre that she has struggled to overcome.
I loved that each section begins with a poem or quote or pros on gardening or growing, and the other most important inclusion is that the audio comes with a pdf. The pdf is vital because, as a beginner, you could never hold that amount of information in your head.
I have no hesitation in recommending this book to anyone.

A wonderful tool for beginners

I've found that there are so many different reasons to set up raised garden beds, no matter your living arrangements and options. In my case, I have plenty of gardening space, but also share this area with a highly destructive puppy who thoroughly enjoys digging (and eating crops!). This makes it is difficult to grow anything in the traditional way. I thought this listen was a wonderful guide to allow me to keep gardening using the simplicity and efficiency of garden beds. It was informative and well-narrated, providing an engaging and enriching experience. Also, the PDF book is included with the audiobook purchase which I thought was an absolute win. Great advice and tips found within.

I have always had a garden of some sort each year, but never a raised bed garden until now. I was so impressed with the advantages presented by the author in this audiobook, that I am converting over, and will never go back. I was grateful that she took the time to go over every stage of both deciding how to build the raised beds, but also the type of soil to use, and all the stages of preparing and planting, as well as choosing various pairings, or companion plants, and so much more. Definitely worth the listen!
