Getting down from a 50-foot giant rose without wings while surviving the attacks of malevolent wasps is just a start. Surviving long enough to figure out what to do with her new life proves to be something of a challenge, but at least that much is understandable. Of course, that’s when she gets sucked into the tangled web of an ambitious demon lord who’s threatening to plunge the world into a war.

I did not enjoy this book
the direction the author is going with Ember the MCs mother and the constant negative emotions throughout the book is stressful and makes me feel bad. there is enough drama in the world, I do not need this artificial abandonment and betrayal.
what's worse is that this shit continues in the next book.
I'm gonna finish the series, but shame on the author for pulling a bait and switch on the reader.
the series went from entertaining to nonstop pain and suffering and bad things happening to the MC.
this plus everyone acting like absolute idiots killed this series for me and I will change all my 5 star ratings for the earlier books to 1 star
