Loved every second

The book felt like it was paced well the entire time. It wasn’t slow and overwhelming with information at the start which I feel sometimes happens with fantasy. An excellent book all around!

narrator is great, the characters are lovable

This was a fun read start to finish. The two main characters are a joy to watch fall in love and their feelings for one another feel authentic. The conflict between feels real and hurts you just as much as it hurts the character. my only complaint is the final climax seems a little rushed and the entire story takes place in one setting until the last few chapters of the conflict where the characters rush off through a foreign country.

Engrossing Diverse Read

10/10 would reccomend. this story immediately pulled me in and kept me captivated. the characters are very diverse too which is still something lacking in the genre so I was appreciative to find it here and it not be a focal point

A fabulous mix of mystery and high stakes romance. I couldn’t stop listening to it.

Pretty Good- Ending was the best part

The narration was mostly good- I felt I it was sometimes hard to discern between internal thoughts and external conversation at points. The story was well written but lacked depth. Overall 4-4.5 stars imo.

Interesting and charming

The book was enjoyable to read, with a very interesting plot and good world-building. It was hard to get fully invested in any of the characters, however. Since the viewpoint switches between the two lead characters, neither one seems to really get fully expanded upon. The pace and focus of the story also seems to change quite dramatically part of the way through, and while it’s still interesting, it seemed a bit sudden. Overall the author did a nice job and the reader was pleasant and well-spoken. Some of the accents were a bit silly, but it didn’t detract much from the story.

I genuinely enjoyed the writing, world building, and characters of this book. The twists that age used are set up well so that the reader is able to see them coming and feel smarter for it.

Can’t wait for the second

I fell in love with this book more than I anticipated. A beautiful blend of emotions.

Fantastic Story

Well rounded story, Anna did a great job narrating both women's stories. I could only hope for a sequel but even if there isn't this book surely holds its own. Love the ending.
