Resumen del Editor

It all begins a thousand years ago on the flats of Africa and follows a wolf-dog as he makes life-altering decisions not just for himself but for the human with whom he develops a bond. This union remains inviolable as Puck’s soul passes from one life to the next.

Puck’s story is as spiritual as it is terrestrial. His earthly visits are interwoven with returns to The Bridge and Azul, the latter a divinity who advises Puck but does not predetermine his actions - or his fate(s). Puck’s charge is to make good choices, something he fails to achieve when he kills a man who is attempting to harm “his” Minnie in one of her early manifestations. This death plagues Puck throughout his ensuing lives, and his heart cannot be made pure again until he atones for his misdeed.

Puck and Minnie offers a poignant view of fear’s role in fomenting hate, and my narrative shows love possible even under the most demanding of circumstances. It’s a story that may open your mind and soul to the possibilities of the question of what if the animals of this planet are indeed, divine beings here to teach and guide us into the heart of God, which we know as "All that Is"...and All That Is, is love.

My Favorite Book so far by this Narrator!

I usually go for mysteries, and truth be told, I’m also not what you’d describe as a dog lover, but I love following Scott Ellis’s entertainment and talent! So I gave this book a try … and low and behold, I was mesmerized from the very beginning!!! I actually think I’ve even changed my perspective on dogs!!
This book was incredibly well written! It brought me to emotions I never expected to reach (on the verge of tears at times)! And Mr Ellis put the icing on the cake with his usual dose of exceptional narrating! I simply can’t recommend this book highly enough ….and one of the greatest parts of the recommendation is that it’s also perfect for young adults as well as we older folks …. No objectionable language to ruin the experience for all age groups!!! A fantastic and enjoyable listen for sure!!! Keep up the good work - you two make an exceptional team! Totally understandable how it won awards!!!! It certainly did in my book!
Two Thumbs Up!!

Delightful Story

This is one of those rare books that make the listener think deeply about his/her own faith concerning love and the “All That Is.” Since the beginning of time, Puck (a canine) has been charged with teaching humans about love; love in all things – decisions, interactions with others, and not letting fear or hatred seep into your heart. With each return, Puck learns new lessons and encounters new humans that he comes to love deeply. However, before Puck can move onward into the heavenly after, he must correct a past mistake that haunts him with each return. Even Puck learns he must forgive himself and others to right wrongs.

Suzanne Warfield, the author, has taken a beautiful story and woven it into an emotional tale of love, and forgiveness. Warfield carefully builds the story, sometimes going backward before she moves forward. This writing style adds to the poignancy of this story. It is clear that her message is powerful and impacts each person slightly differently in regard to how they connect with the characters or story. She is deliberate in character building while weaving her story.

The narrator, Scott Ellis gives a strong performance. Ellis moves the story at a steady pace offering up intense and emotional moments as reflected in the story. As the dog – Puck – he is able to sound innocent; as the others in the story, his voices reflect their personalities and the situations clearly.

I do not like to cry. I usually go out of my way to avoid those sappy movies or books that pull at the audience’s heartstrings making the tears flow freely. However, this book is well worth the tears and heartache as the story and its ending are perfect!

There were no issues with the production or quality of this audiobook.
