A wicked turn of events

The perfect situation has arrived for Hunter Stiles. Cassandra and her brother are left with an online sitter who should arrive any moment after their parents have left. Although Cassandra is seventeen, her parents felt it would be safer. It couldn't be further from the truth. Cassandra and her little brother,Ben are now under the mercy of Hunter, a mentally, unstable psychopath. His reasons are for his own. But there is another sick, demented reason, and Cassandra's youth, beauty, and innocence are exactly what rich men pay for. Shopping for pleasure.

Cassandra begins to witness the double personalities Hunter fights with and hopes to gain some sympathy with the 'nicer' Hunter. But this only backfires when shots are fired and one is left wounded. Cassandra sacrifices herself to save her little brother. Or though,she thought.

Taken clear across the country, Cassandra is now a prisoner and slave and will be used for enjoyment for those who like to torture and rape. Yet, she still feels there may be hope with Hunter to save her. But Hunter's split personality is stronger than his own conscience.

Her only hope now is Zak, the gay makeup artist who tries to rescue her which only leads to a disaster of events and an ending you'll never see coming.

Filled with on-the-edge-of-your-seat moments through the entire book, Alexandria keeps your heart racing and your mind tortured with how Cassandra will make it out alive. This is the first book for this author I have listened and I will definitely be wanting more. Layla Smith's narration made the story come alive with all the characters and different accents.

A little drawn out but definitely worth the listen. Didn't end how I thought it would but I guess that is a good thing. Layla Smith was good as the narrator!

It's includes abuse, rape and a twist at the end.
The narration by Layla Smith is perfect.
I'm looking forward to listen/read more from Alexandria Ayers.

Psycho Sitter

What a ride. So much happens in this book and you will be questioning things while listening. I even question a bit now that’s it’s over and have a bit of a book hangover. Definitely a good listen if you are looking for a thriller.
The narration on this book is by far the best choice for its reading.

A different genre for me

In the very beginning, I thought it was a female speaking but after listening to the first chapter, you realize it was a man. The narrators voice doesn't really change all that much from man to woman, except for the younger brothers voice. The story overall you really can't judge. Do you know of this happened to someone or not. The details are remarkable, the attitude of Hunter in the beginning is on point and then to find out he has an inner struggle complicates things. Cassy is trying to survive and yet take care of Ben. The parents are unknowing and this kind of thing happens. If this truly is a story, the author did the research on this or was able to pick the brain of a detective. I was trained on trafficking so this helps get awareness out even if the listener is unaware. Well done and a good listen.

Edge of your seat suspense!

Sometimes I like to delve into a good thriller. This was recommended to me, and I have to say, it had me from the first chapter. I was on the edge of my seat! Cassandra is left home with her younger brother, waiting for the sitter that will stay with them while their parents are in Australia. Who shows up? A sitter that they did not expect. Hunter takes these two and from there you will be entranced. Should you like Hunter? Is he crazy? Will these two survive? It has a very interesting plot, that will keep you guessing, all the way to the very end. There are unusual twists and turns, keeping you listening. I loved the complexity of the characters. Cassie is young, but is very intelligent. Her brother is resilient and Hunter had me wondering if I should love him or hate him! I love this kind of story, making me think and kept surprising me.

Narrated by Layla Smith, she had an insight to the story, bringing not only accents, but inflections that fit the each character. I found that she enhanced the suspense and really brought the story to life.

Suspenseful

This story has a unique plot with various twists and turns. As the older sister, what happens when someone invades your space and takes you and your brother to a place you dare not go? You run, hide and give up the one thing that you know will at least keep him safe; yourself!

Hunter is the “babysitter” that NO ONE wants or is he? The reasons behind all the things he does becomes clear more and more but during this epic “adventure” things happen to both Cassie and her brother. They are both strong willed and know that they will overcome this, or will they? This plot continues to thicken and unimaginable things begin to happen.

This story was fun and very different. The story was great and I wanted to keep reading to find out what happens next!

Good concept

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. The narration was excellent, I thought the concept was interesting, the execution however sometimes made it hard to push forward with the book. I liked the book enough to finish it.
