What happens when Jane Austen's immortal characters are thrust into 21st-century Pennsylvania, with an all-male twist?
Liam Bennet has always been a good judge of character, but when William Darcy is thrown into his social circle, everything spins out of control. Darcy is proud, cold, arrogant - and strangely captivating. When Liam's brother and Darcy's business partner start seeing each other, Liam cannot avoid this enigmatic businessman. But does he want to?
As Liam struggles to find his identity in college and acknowledge his feelings, he must deal with the fortunes of his four brothers, his gossiping mother, and the possibility of a large inheritance that could save his family from financial ruin. Emotions come to a boil when George Wickham, a world-weary musician, stumbles into town and ignites a feud with Darcy. He threatens to expose a long-hidden past, and Liam must decide for himself who William Darcy really is and what he really wants.

Even though its two main MC's we have a lot of extra characters that really help this story along.
The story is a normal one, man meets man, man falls for man, miscommunication, and HFN ending.
Narration was good. And kept the story going.
fun tale

Rusty Topsfield is wonderful. This is far from the first audio book I have obtained with him starring as narrator, and he certainly has not disappointed me with this one. In fact, this is probably my favorite of his narration thus far. His voice for Darcy is to die for.
LOVE THIS

Would you listen to Pride and Modern Prejudice again? Why?
I would definitely listen to this book again. The story had such a great flow and the updates to the story were well thought out and realistic in this day and age. What did you like best about this story?
I loved the portrayal of Darcy in this story. Darcy is such an iconic character and this Darcy lives up the expectations. What does Rusty Topsfield bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Rusty gives the characters unique tones that shows the region of the story.Any additional comments?
Only a few times did I find that the different voices of the characters slightly overlapped when moving back and forth in a conversation. Mostly this occurred when going from a male to female character.Wonderful take on a classic

Is there anything you would change about this book?
The story was interesting, and I enjoyed it. However, it definitely ran on too long. I found myself getting bored about 2 hours from the end. It could have used a tighter, less rambling ending.Did Rusty Topsfield do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
The narrator did a good job performing the novel; however, he needs a lot of work on his voices. I was confused at times since some of the characters sounded very similar. Other than the voices, his narration was very good.Worth a listen

I spent almost the entire first half of this book wanting to return it. It was awkward, and felt forced, like they were trying too hard. The second half got much better and I really enjoyed it.
It wasn’t an awful book but it wasn’t the greatest either. A different narrator might have made the book better. The accents were bad, common names from P&P were mispronounced, and his narration was at times stilted. I liked the sound of his voice however. It was deep, resonant, and soothing.
The book felt a like a rough draft. The Bennet kids were a bit confusing. I think had the writer kept with the first letter of the original characters names it would have been easier to draw the comparison, like Jaimie, Ethan, Connor, Liam, and Mason, but that’s just me.
I’m not sure I recommend it or not but if you have a credit and love P&P you might want to give it a go.
I liked it but…

I can’t rate it because I didn’t finish it. I was just overwhelmed by the dry, stilted manner in which the story proceeds. It worked for Jane Austen – in 1813, but it didn’t work for me in modern times.
I needed a hook and I didn’t get one that convinced me to keep going.
Rusty Topsfield was a fine narrator. He tried to give voices to the different characters but didn’t do enough to make me stay with the story.
DNF'd
